Similac Pro-Advance Non-GMO Infant Formula with Iron For Immune Support Powder- 3 Count (36oz)

In my final year of med school, I was pleasantly surprised to find out my husband and I were expecting. Unfortunately, our little baby girl was "growth restricted" (IUGR) due to placenta problems and was born prematurely at 4 pounds. I was BADGERED by the nurses in the hospital to breastfeed, but with my OB & pediatricians' blessing, I choose to give her this Similac since day 1 because I wanted our little lady to fed within her first hour of life (IUGR preemies typically have blood sugar problems, which can be deadly if you can't feed them right away) rather than wait 3 days for my milk to come in and have her dehydrated, hungry, etc... (which would've resulted in an NICU admission and her going on formula anyway...). Thank goodness I did! With receiving the Similac, her blood sugar normalized within hours of being born, and she was out of the hospital EARLIER than a "normal" baby. In her first weeks of life, she has more than doubled her body weight, is thriving, and is exceeding all of her milestones... I know as a physician I'm supposed to say "breast is best", but in our case, this formula was the best for our little lady and I am so grateful that this was an option.

We have been using Similac Pro Advance for about 6 months and it has generally been good. Our baby started spitting up much worse after opening a new can from a 3 pack that was just delivered. We quickly switched and opened up another can in case that one was bad, and he was still getting sick. Finally, we got a completely new 3 pack of cans and opened one of the new cans, and saw how different it compared to the "bad batch". The bad batch was a darker color, it smelled different, and it's texture was different. There is no way this was the same formula we had been using for 6 months (if it is even really formula at all!). Beware and pay close attention each time you open a new can!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!This stuff looks legut but it can't be. The color is darker and smell is foul. I ordrred this because we were out of formula and i could have gotten it same day. Amazon did just that and ut arrived a few hours later. I was in a hurry so i checked the expiration dates [and it was 2021] and moved on to making a bottle. I did not really look more closely until my 6 week old projectile vomited all 3 to 4 oz she just ate 10 min ago. She has NEVER done this... and has always used this formula so i called Amazon who said it could not be returned but did give me a full refund. [THANKS AMAZON!] I immediately threw tge rest of this in the garbage and got normal stuff from Walgreens.

Bought product on 11-23-18. Used 12-11-18 and found mold in product.

The product has grey impurity stuff after adding water. Really concern about the quality. I have to buy them from retail stores (COSTCO/TARGET) etc. Their same product do not have this issue. Although it is on sale sometime, I would rather pay more to buy from retail stores as this is daily baby food!
