Gregg Troy - It's Never Easy

6 years ago I became a swim coach by chance when I decided not to spend 3 hours every day sitting on the bench while watching my kids during their practice. At that time there was a swim coach missing for the youngest 8 & Under in that club, and I propose the head coach to consider me as a part-time coach. He accepted and since then the experience has been just amazing. 2 years ago my kids moved to Gulliver Swim Club and of course I propose to the head coach Chris George and to coach Jackson Leonard if I could be part of their team of coaches. Since then I have had the great opportunity to see them coaching, and this great book has given me the chance to understand in deep detail everything, every detail, that makes a swim coach a great mentor and guidance for the athletes. I definitively encourage coaches, swimmers, and parents to read this fantastic overview of all the aspects to consider when playing any of these roles in this (or almost any) sport. GREAT BOOK!!!! Great book on one of the greatest coaches of all time. It has several insights useful not only to swimmers but anyone interested in developing his/her leadership skills!

accurate, informative, written from the point of view of people who live there and live that life.There are lessons for coaching and for swimming on every page.Well worth the read. The Title is all so accurate!
