What's not to like about this SSD SATA cartridge? It looks cool, feels extremely sturdy, comes with everything you need to assemble (except the SSD internals), and it does exactly what I need it to do!It took about 20 minutes to put it all together, including disassembling my old Samsung T5 SSD, and transferring it over to the Lunchbox. The Lunchbox comes with all the necessary screws and insulation needed to ensure proper assembly. Like all the other reviewers and youtubers mention, taking apart your SSD is at your own risk, but in my case this is a very viable solution than having to pay 3x-4x the amount for the other variant.Note: you will need a computer/eyeglass screwdriver tool set, and either an exacto knife or scissors to cut the insulation to the appropriate size.

This solves a very specific problem that not many have, but it's an excellent solution to that problem.If you have a Samsung T5 you're willing to gut, this housing is a no-brainer. Pulling the SSD out of the T5 and putting this housing together took less than ten minutes altogether.If I had one gripe, it's that the silicone pads aren't cut to size, but it's easy enough to take care of with a sharp knife.It slides very cleanly into the Ninja V's hard drive port, and is small enough to leave the cooling fan unobstructed. This and the ANDYCINE Lunchbox reader work very well together.

I had a 500gb T5 lying around which wasn't being used and figured it would simply disappear in the back of a drawer.Stumbled across this little gem while looking at hard drive options for my Ninja V and figured it was worth a shot for such a low price.I was impressed with the quality of the case itself and had no issue disassembling and transferring the internals of the T5 into it.Now I have a very compact (and nice looking) additional hard drive for my Ninja for very little cost.Quite pleased and can easily recommend, even if you need to buy a T5 for it. Still going to be less expensive than the Atomos branded tiny drives.

This is my second AndyCine Lunchbox/Samsung T5 build, and I recommend this as an affordable option to the much more expensive SSDs from Anglebird. Performance is great, and the compact size and aluminum case of the Lunchbox helps with heat dissipation. The process to disassemble the T5 and install into the Lunchbox is actually quite simple. You will need a tiny Phillips head screw driver and scissors to cut the heat pads. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes.

While it’s possible to use a caddy for your Atomos Ninja V/V+ it just doesn’t look sleek and it protrudes out the side of the monitor. And forget paying the obscene price for the AngelBird SSD caddy (Great but expensive), this is a great alternative and you can repurpose those Samsung T5’s you may have laying around. Very easy to instal and setup, even if you have no experience with these things. AndyCine has videos and instructions that guides the process in detail.

I bought two of these and transferred two of my 1TB Samsung T5s over to them. They work perfectly with the Ninja V. I actually get better performance off these Lunchboxes with the T5 drives than I did with the AtomX Drives. They are smaller too and help keep the Ninja a bit cooler because they don't block the vents as the other drives do. Highly Recommend!

These caddies receive high praise for good reason. It is so well designed. Instructions were simple and clear. I got it to work on a V and and an Assassin. Very pleased.

Satisfecho hasta ahora con esta compra, llegó rápido y en perfecto estado. Obtuve un disco Samsung T5 de 1TB, seguí las instrucciones disponibles en YouTube y sin mucho problema pude configurar este disco en la carcasa AndyCine para Atomos Ninja V. Tengo también el AtomX de 1TB y otro disco en caddy plástico de Atomos. Esta alternativa se siente de muy buena calidad, luce profesional y hasta ahora ha funcionado sin problema. Algo que me parece incluso mejor que el Atom X es que esta carcasa AndyCine es más corta y deja expuestas las ranuras de ventilación en la parte trasera del Ninja V, equipo que de por sí es propenso a calentarse, por lo que esto parece ventajoso para una mejor ventilación. Recomendable.

These drive adapters are a great idea and allow you to repurpose cheaper drives such as the T5 or 860 EVO to be able to record at maxed out settings on the Ninja. However, since both the Samsung T5 and 860 EVO are both older drives and are becoming increasingly more difficult to source these days it's going to make the usefulness of this product less and less so.I found disassembling the donor T5 drive and re-assembling into the AndyCIne case easy, with around 10-15 minutes of low effort. One stumbling block was that the thermal pads supplied with the case were oversized and needed to be cut to better seat on the SSD memory chips and casing. I would also suggest placing a sheet of the thermal pad between the SSD and the AndyCine PCB sled which it mounts to, this was how the I found the T5 drive when I took it apart and will help for better heat dissipation, extending the drives life long term.Great product, great idea, recommended for any Ninja V owner.

Facile da assemblare è molto comodo e permette di risparmiare parecchi soldi rispetto ai dischi originali Atomos o Angelbird. ho provato ad acquistare un disco m-sata da 1 Tb di una marca qualsiasi (evitando il caro e poco trovabile samsung T5) e , almeno per adesso funziona bene, provato su sony fx3. Mi riservo di aggiornare la recensione qualora questo ssd non fosse compatibile o se si interrompesse la registrazione dopo tot ore) Dopo un pò di prove ho trovato un ssd perfettamente compatibile che ha registrato per 3 ore consecutive senza bloccarsi ed è il kingston SKC600MS da 1 TB.
