Perfect for active people or as leggings under skirts
This is my second pair. I wear these under my ski pants to have a warm layer next to my skin. I also wear them as long underwear when winter hiking in Colorado. They are the perfect thickness to keep warmth right next to the skin and I use another layer on top for wind/snow protection. They also look good wearing them under a skirt or dress in colder weather.

These leggings are wonderful and fit very well. Some negative reviews may be due to item mix-up.
These leggings are AMAZING. They are soft, very warm, and great for layering on cold days. I have a job where I work outside often and I feel like these keep me warm down to ~35 degrees when I wear them under my work jeans. I am a size 18/20 in jeans. I ordered the XXL and they fit nicely, not too snug, not too loose. There are some strongly negative reviews for these leggings and I think I have figured out why by way of ordering a second pair and getting the wrong item. I thought it was pure shrinkflation at first before I took time to investigate further. The 32 degrees brand apparently has two varieties of leggings that are VERY different from each other and for whatever reason, Amazon sellers/pickers are probably grabbing the wrong one since the description on the website is incorrect. Probably a weird copy/paste issue in their system. The correct item is made in Vietnam and is made of 90% polyester and 10% spandex as described. The "inferior" version is made of polyester (40%), acrylic (34%), rayon (22%), and spandex (4%), with the following Amazon description "32 DEGREES Women's Lightweight Baselayer Legging | Form Fitting | 4-Way Stretch | Thermal". This inferior version is currently selling for $12.99, and they are exceptionally poor quality. You can see right through them (both layers) without even holding them up to the light. They are not made for warmth whatsoever so I can understand the negative reviews here if you order the ~$20+ version and are expecting an entirely different product. In my opinion Amazon needs to update the description on the cheaper version to "ultra light" instead of "ultra soft"!I implore you to have faith in these leggings. If you don't get the right pair at first, try again. They are worth it and I will be ordering a third pair!

Soft, warm and SUPER COMFORTable
I love how soft and warm they are. I bought them to wear either as an extra layer when in cold weather or as around the house and to bed when it's chilly. I will likely buy another pair.

Soft and cozy
Perfect for under jeans, but not warm on their own.

Soft warm buttery base layer leggings
I love these. I would probably want a warmer base layer if I lived in a cooler climate, but where I live, they work all year. I use them under everything. I get cold easily, so I'm so happy these exist. It does keep you warmer than a plain pair of thin leggings would when layered under pants or other thicker leggings, or stretchy skinny jeans.Yes you read that right, these go great under other thicker styles of leggings (best under higher waisted leggings) for instance - Spanx ponte knit Jennings, & stretchy jeans (like AG jeans), I even wear them under sweats, I've crammed them underneath yoga pants, I've even gotten them smoothly layered underneath American Apparel style shiny spandex leggings..The key is to keep the base layer on part of your foot, like half the heel. Then you can pull your leg thru the outside legging, without it pulling up the leggings inside & creating horizontal lines. It looks like you're wearing bare legs underneath, instead of base layer.I wear them alone in summer sometimes, with something long on on top, since you can see pantyline through these. When you wash these, do it inside out, and or use a garment bag, as they pill up relatively easily. Inside out and garment bag prolongs their life.Machine drying these leggings is essential to retain their shape, as they tend to stretch out a bit when used, so a hot dryer tends to snap them back into "like new" shape.I'm 5'1½", 103.5 lbs. I bought extra small. If your in between sizes I think you'll be better off going with the smaller size, since they tend to stretch.

Just a bit of warmth
First of all, these are not leggings that you would wear solo. They're a thermal layer to wear under other clothes. With that being said, I like these thermal bottoms. They're very thin, but not so thin that I'd consider them tights/stockings. You can see your underwear while wearing them because they stretch (which is why I emphasize they aren't meant to be worn solo.) They provide a small amount of warmth, perfect for a chilly day. I wear them under my jeans or work uniform. The fact that they're thin and soft make them easy to slip other pants on over them. They fit true to size. If you're in between sizes, you may be able to go one size up since they're pretty stretchy.I bought several of these to use over the past 3 seasons (Fall/Winter/Spring). I've been traveling and the weather has been pretty erratic. The thermal bottoms have come in handy - especially when the temperature wildly fluctuates throughout the day. It's just enough to get me through a cold morning commute to work. (It doesn't make me feel completely warm and toasty, but it cuts out the "bite" when you layer jeans over it in 50° weather.) It's thin enough that I still feel comfortable wearing it when the weather hikes up to 70° mid-day. And it's also nice to sleep in on occassion when I turn the thermostat down to save a little extra money.I bought three of these bottoms in total. All have held up well after at least 10 washes on a normal cycle. (I don't wash them with jeans or any clothing with abrasive material, like velcro.) I haven't had issues with pilling or snagging yet, but I think these will inevitably succumb to those issues since they are a thin, soft, stretchy material. So far they've held up much better than other comparable brands, and I got them for a good price. Just the fact that I've been able to wear one bottom over 10 times without any issues makes me feel they're a good quality for the price I paid.I think these would be perfect for healthcare workers who wear scrubs in cooler hospital environments, or for those who generally feel cold all the time.
