Make your life easier, it's well worth the investment.
This made my dual amp install so easy, it's silly. I used this on my 2007 Honda Fit so I could have a 2.1 system and it worked great. I deviated from the instructions in that I did snip the front 4 speaker lines of the harness wires so I could tie in the speaker cables from the amp back to the factory speaker cables and it worked great. I acknowledge that I probably voided my warranty doing this but I was confident it would work. So my front channels go to my amp via the PAC's Front RCA and then return via speaker wires to the front speaker wires on the vehicle side connector. The rear channels go to my sub amp via the PAC's Rear RCA. My objective was to not cut any factory wires and this little guy did the trick beautifully. Well worth the money. At least in the Honda Fit, I had plenty of space and options for security the PAC behind the radio so I found the size pretty adequate. Figuring out the wire colors took a bit to "decode" from the supplied wiring diagram but once you get it, it makes sense and life is grand. I think it's just the orientation of the diagram that's was a bit tricky for me.My only gripe on this piece that was not clear is the Remote or ACC wire. I don't understand why the harnesses just doesn't automatically wire in the ACC line into the PAC. I made that assumption and thought my PAC was defective when I turned the car on. After some DMM troubleshooting, I hooked up the REM line in to the car's ACC line (vampire tap) and it worked. So although I didn't have to cut into the ACC wire, I still had to manually tie power to the PAC which was not something I was expecting. If I didn't have my setup, it would have been nice to just plug and play 100%. If the PAC needs power, provides a blue REM out, and you are already designing a connector that hooks up to the factory connector that has the ACC line on it, then it seems to me a no brainer to save the user the extra step. Oh well, go buy this now!Overall great product and I would by it again for my next vehicles.
