Q: Would rhis be suitable for a miniture dachshund?

I use it for my chiuahua and he likes to curl up to sleep he also has room to walk around. I would say yes but if it was me i would just measure the length of your dog to the length of the house just to be sure in case he sleeps spread out. Hope this helps

It is big enough for a large cat - which is what I used it for. I don't know the size of your dog breed.

Yes my dog is around the same size but I only put him in at night for sleeping as they can’t exercise themselves in this space
