I purchased the Aesop Cythera Aromatique Room Spray as part of a Christmas gift set, and it immediately stood out as the most distinctive piece of the collection. One or two sprays is more than enough to fill a room, and the scent unfolds gradually rather than hitting all at once. It feels curated rather than perfumey, which makes it a great option for shared spaces like living rooms, entryways, or offices. What impressed me most is the longevity. Unlike many room sprays that disappear within minutes, Cythera lingers for several hours in a subtle, ambient way. You’ll notice it when you walk back into the room rather than being constantly aware of it, which is exactly how a high-end room fragrance should behave. This is my go to room spray. The scent is fresh and clean without being too strong or artificial. It instantly makes a space feel nicer and more put together, and a little goes a long way. I use it in bedrooms and living areas, and it never feels overpowering. It lasts a long time and it is definitely something I’ll keep buying.

Great product!

This stuff is intoxicating. It doesn’t last more than a couple of hours so you’d really have to be dousing your home in it constantly if you wanted it to smell like this all of the time. I love this room spray and the istros one. Really beautiful, special smells. Hard pass on the geranium one with patchouli. Value for money? Probs not really worth it since it doesn’t last, but at the same time it’s a really special scent and anyone who’s already buying Aesop is living in a world where we’re valuing the scents and the experience. Would be worth looking up some smaller indie brands on Reddit to compare price + longevity. I have considered getting the diffuser oils that never seen to be in stock, as well as the candles for a more continued experience.

I love Aesop products! This particular scent is citrusy and herbaceous at the same time. It makes everyday seem like a spa day! It's a bit pricey but totally worth it!

I bought this item and have been very disappointed. The fragrance is lovely, however it just disappears within less than a minute of having sprayed it. I tried in several areas considering perhaps humidity, dryness, etc. I even tried it in a closet and sadly I have to say that none of the areas retain the fragrance at all. This is an expensive product that does not work well as a room air freshener.

A great smelling scent, typical of Aesop. One gripe I have with this product is the lack of longevity of the scent. It will dissipate in 10 minutes or so.

Amazing Room Spray as expected

The overall scent is pleasant, but I’ve noticed two issues. First, the spray doesn’t disperse into the air well. It tends to fall in one spot it looks like drizzle, and you can actually see and feel the particles drop instead of spreading. Second, the scent doesn’t last long. After a deep house clean or right before guests arrive, it only lingers for about 2–3 minutes. Surprisingly, it works better in my car than in my apartment
