Surprisingly effective for the price -- easy to use, easy clean up
Given the low price I was worried that some of the complaints about chocolate clumping, unequal heat, etc. would be an obvious problem. It wasn't.My experience was that when you follow the instructions and use the proper chocolate and oil, the system worked well. You can see pretty even flow in the pictures. I did find that I needed to adjust the feet to make the fountain more level (apparently my table wasn't as level as I thought) to make the flow even more even.I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to clean. The key was to wait long enough for it to cool but not so long as to allow the chocolate to become hard.My wife loved it and the kids...well they liked it better than a carnival ride! ;)

A lot of fun, many uses beyond chocolate!
This was a huge hit at Thanksgiving as a gravy fountain; we may use it on Super Bowl Sunday as a wing sauce fountain and I can see it being fun with queso on taco night or butter when we have a seafood boil; syrup for a brunch party, you name it. Haven’t tried chocolate as we are not big dessert people but it has been fun so far. Very easy to use and clean.

🙁
The worst thing you can buy in life is that it ruined the candy table for my daughter's 15th birthday. I bought it and it came out wrong because it was missing pieces, then they changed it and on the day of the 15th birthday the device didn't heat up in 5 minutes and stopped working... it's the worst thing you can do for an event. I don't recommend it, it will damage the look of your party. Your event will be seriously affected the day you try to do this, which basically doesn't even work.

Great Fountain for the price
The media could not be loaded. When I first unboxed this item I was a little apprehensive. There was no instruction documentation included. After playing around with it, I figured out the correct configuration for assembly. It wasn't difficult, but would have saved some time if I had at least a picture of assembly sequence. The box says it holds 32 oz, (2 lbs), of chocolate. It does hold this amount, but if you want the flow you see in my video, you will need about 4 lbs.Assembly1. Insert the round bottom brace into the bowl. It will have stanchions that will insert over the standoffs in the bowl. Then insert the largest plastic bowl onto the bottom brace. Insert the auger inside, then attach the top round brace, followed by the second largest plastic bowl, then the third. The last attachment is inserted at the top and keeps the auger straight.2. Once assembled, turn on the heat to the metal bowl. Do not turn on the auger except if you want to test your assembly, but be sure it is turned off before adding chocolate. The unit should be level so the chocolate is dispersed evenly in the bowl. The 2 front legs are adjustable so leveling is pretty easy. The key to getting the flow seen in my video:3. Melt your chocolate,(I started with 2 lbs for first batch). Microwave your chips for 2 minutes. If using stove top.. watch closely so it doesn't burn. {Even though most chocolate I have bought says you do not need to add oil to make it flow.. I had to add a little bit of oil to get it to flow nicely.)4. Add your chocolate to the fountain bowl. Let it set for 10 - 15 minutes. Meanwhile, melt more chocolate.5. Once you have you second batch of chocolate ready, turn on the auger. It will siphon the chocolate to the top of the fountain. You will notice that the bowl will start to empty of chocolate, that is when the second batch is introduced to the fountain. I have found that it is easier to add the second batch to the TOP of the fountain, a little at a time to incorporate it into the mixture. Let the fountain run. It will eventually obtain the affect you want in a fountain. It may take several minutes to do so.If your chocolate still seems too thick to make a good curtain, you can add a little bit of oil into the chocolate at the base bowl. Let it run several minutes to incorporate before using. This is not an easy clean-up as melted chocolate is just, well, messy. It is easier to dis-assemble while the chocolate is melted. The parts are NOT dishwasher safe, so only wash by hand. There is a small plastic washer that sets around the shaft the auger is attached to. It is easy to lose, so be careful when dumping left over chocolate as it is just sitting around the shaft. I assume it is to keep the chocolate from going down into the unit, (there again, no instructions, so only guessing). While this takes a little more work, both to set up and to clean, I would still recommend this unit. The joy that guests got from using it was well worth the effort. The only CON I can really state is the lack of assembly instructions and perhaps operational use. Otherwise, this was a big hit at 2 Christmas parties in 2023.

It just didn't work right!!
I really wanted to like this chocolate fountain.... but the whole thing was a mess. The machine has to warm up 30 minutes! The chocolate has to be heated in the microwave before adding it to the machine....unless the fruit is totally & completely dry the fountain Chocolate The chocolate solidifies& seizes up. That isn't a good thing to happen in the middle of a party!!Better instructions & disclaimers would be better!
