Worth twice the price, IMO
Easy 2 sharpen. Lead's exactly in the center & doesnt snap off in the sharpener. Lead's sturdy when writing & eraser's good quality. In other words, very good compared 2 others & I've used this brand 4 a few yrs.

Parenting Hack: Put it on subscribe and save for 6 month delivery, comparable to top back-to-school sales all year
It's 144 pencils for 7 bucks. What's not to like? I sent these into my daughter's class mid-year as they were running out. The price is comparable to the beginning of the year deals, where you can get 20 packs of pencils for a buck, but I didn't have to fight through a big box store nightmare. I haven't been able to find a comparable price any other time of year. These are basic, cheap pencils. They're not particularly durable, but they're better than many of those pencils with the cartoon characters or the like all over them. They're not Ticonderoga, so they don't sharpen as well as those, and the lead might break more easily, but I purchased these for room full of young elementary school kids. They will be used half the time as a chew toy, a few will probably find their way up a nose at some point, and they're going to be covered in germs and God only knows what, so I'm not paying any more than absolutely necessary. I put it on subscribe and save to save a buck (and the necessity of remembering to order them). I was able to set it for every 6 months, so I'll get one right before school starts, and get them again mid-year when no parents want to send in any more supplies and maybe fool the teacher into thinking I'm always flailing about like drowning victim when it comes to this parenting thing. At the very least, I get to tell myself that. Now, I just need to find glue sticks and crayons for a comparable back-to-school price all the time, and I'll be able to avoid all the major sale places in August. Unless I decided to try to go after the penny deals, which I avoid unless I'm in a crappy mood and looking to release some aggression ( I've seen these almost turn into Mommy fight club, usually mom bloggers vs. couponers... do not engage the ones that are both). I'm calling that one as a bonafide parenting win.

Great pencils if you need a ton of pencils!
These are great if you need a lot of pencils. They sharpen up nicely. The most important feature of any pencil is the eraser. This one has a fine eraser.
