Using on dump truck tailgate
I am using this to automate my tailgate latches on my dump truck. It is working very well. I am using a 5 way switch from the same manufacturer to push/pull this ram. At 150PSI it takes all of my strength to push the piston in, or pull it out(oposite of how the air is going to it) so I estemate the power is close to 150 pounds or so on it.The ram did come missing one of the quick connects, and I had to contact the seller, but they promptly sent the replacement part and an assortment of other fittings out to me. Overall I am pleased.

Sleek and Fast
Awesome. It's a sleek design. I have it connected to a 2 position 3 way solenoid with a timer to automatically move in and out and so far no matter how fast i move it it's responsiveness is great. I don't have it doing any heavy lifting so i can't attest to it's strength, but so far it's speed is pretty impressive. It didn't come with instructions so I'm not sure how or if i need to lubricate it. I'll have to look that up, hopefully there's an answer somewhere. I do wish that there was an option to have it come with more than just the two push tube connectors. That's where they get you assembling these things. The two provided is not enough and getting more is going to cost as much as the pump itself.

A Lot of Power in a Small Package.
Having no experience working with pneumatic cylinders, I purchased this to substitute the mechanical hold down on a woodworking jig. While it wasn't the perfect fit for that particular application, I was very impressed with how well it performed as a clamping mechanism. I decided to keep it rather than return it because I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to incorporate into some other shop project in the future.

Careful if you have NPT fittings
Needed to use 90deg elbow fittings and had some in 1/8" NPT. It is possible to tap out the ports but not a lot of room to run the tap in. Was just enough to get a few threads in on the fitting. That's not a fault of the product, it states PT and I knew it. Just thought I'd be able to run the tap in more in case anyone is thinking the same. It's holding so far. Otherwise it's a fine ram. Working great.

It could have been a good product but...
I was impressed by the quality of the metal processing and sturdiness, but unfortunately the air leaked around the push rod making the cylinder unusable. I believe that the gasket is not suitable or the rod does not have a stop and hits the gasket in fully extended position , thus damaging the gasket (the rod surface was smooth, so I do not suspect leaks due to rod surface roughness). If manufacturer could correct this leak issue (other customers are complaining about) this item could become a very good product. I could have the cylinder disassembled and attempt to fix it myself, but I was under time constraint and returned it the next day.

Uses metric air line fittings
This is a nice pneumatic cylinder but be aware the air fittings are oring style not NPT and are 6mm metric. If you need 1/4 inch air lines it could be a problem finding the correct fittings. I used a 6mm 1/8NPT on the far end but have mixed sized system now.

Tennis ball catapult
Using this for a catapult...works well. Quite a powerful little cylinder and seems to handle some good psi. All kinds of nifty little apparatuses can be made using one of these.

The seals are loose.
The piston seals to cylinder does not seal enough to work. Both units are poorly machined. If you need any kind of accuracy such as actually working, dont buy these. It's cost me a lot of time and money to machine all the brackets to hold these only to find out how bad they are.
