Overall, The reel is light weight, and it rolls very nice, smooth. handle is good and non slippery, appearance is good with a combination of color looks more elegant and high class reel. I cant wait to test it to the sea.

I’ve owned this for a year and a half now, so this isn’t just some “I got it out of the box and it’s so cool” review, this is what it’s like living with over time.I’d grown up with, and prior to this had always bought, the cheap big box store stuff. Nothing wrong with that, but I was always a little curious what just a little more cash would buy you. Is there a point in spending $30-100 on a reel if the $10 Walmart special rod and reel combo gets you fishing?I can unequivocally say, yes there is…at least in this case. This reel is super smooth, silky almost. The drag is highly adjustable and not at all the “it’s either practically not there or it’s not going to spool line out even if you caught your neighbors pickup” that I’ve experienced with cheap reels. I was able to cast further, and have yet to experience the “bird’s nest” tangles I have with the bottom of the barrel reels.Adding to my positive experience with the reel, is my positive experience with the company. My wife took a tumble while we were fishing and dropped the rod on a rock, which broke the reel handle. I emailed the company, knowing the reel had a one year warranty and that it was technically broken through no manufacturing flaw. I offered to buy a replacement handle, and instead they sent me one for free. I know that might not seem like a big deal to some but that sort of service is something that you don’t always find, especially if you’re not buying the highest of the high end.All in all, the reel has held up well, it’s caught a lot of fish, and it’s a tactile pleasure to use. The customer service is great and the price paid was extremely reasonable for all you get. For anyone on the fence about buying a slightly more expensive product than what you might find at your local big box retailer, take the plunge. What you get with this reel and this company makes the additional outlay of cash more than worth it.

This reel is excellent, very smooth and has no rattle. Caught many fish with it and am very satisfied with this purchase. The reel is slightly bigger than I anticipated - Still great and well balanced. I will likely get the smaller version of this for an ultralight build in the future.

Used this for the first time today, I was surprised at it's overall quality. I have a few more expensive reels that I prefer this one over. Kinda wished I would have given this one a chance sooner. UPDATE: Sometime during transport in my soft sided rod bag the handle snapped off right in the middle. I messaged the company looking to purchase a replacement, as well as a spare spool or two. They messaged me the next day and are sending me a replacement for free. Super customer service, I'm glad I can put this reel back in rotation as it's become one of my favorites.
