Leather is so soft it is more like working with cloth.

First, the leather is nice, especially for the price. But, what is up with the thin paper stickers on the suede side??? The back is not always hidden from view and some may want to expose it more. These thin paper stickers will not peel off without shredding or leaving a glue residue and they are really pointless. Put them on the plastic bag the leather was shipped in. I am keeping the leather as it is decent and I could cut off the part with the stickers and still have value, but why do this to your product?

This leather is stiffer than I was expecting. I've worked with leather, but always sheep and very rarely goat leather. But the place where I get my leather from doesn't dye it, and I've been wanting to make a black journal cover. So I jumped at the chance to get this.After getting it, I looked up the differences between the types of leather. I probably should have done that before. It seems it is normal for it to be less flexible, rougher, and have less stretch than goat and sheep leather. Which may make it harder to work with than I am used to.But, most people ordering this either know what cow leather is like or don't commonly work with sheep ad goat leather. So I think when not comparing, those people will find that the front side is soft and flexible. The back is rougher and it still has no stretch, though.I took off one star because there are two Mark's on the front. One looks like a long scuff and the other is a small discoloration. There is one at either end, so I can work around it for my project, but if I had needed the entire piece I would be unhappy.I didn't take off any additional stars for my own and lack of research on ignorance of the difference between animal skins

This product is unusable, it smells extremely strongly of bleach and I cannot remove the small from it. Don't waste your money.
