Item Package Quantity:5 PACK OF 5. Torsion springs do everything: finish grading, spreading mulch, lifting thatch, and much more. The aggressive angle to which the tines are formed makes the rake dig right in without the need for pushing down on it—thus allowing no down pressure. This permits you to stand straight up while using the rake, and makes it much easier on your back. With the pressure off your back, this rake allows you to work longer and accomplish more with less effort than you need to exert with other rakes. This feature allows you to work effectively with any number of different materials and get very effective results. Because of the materials used to make the rake, not only is it extremely durable, it is also very lightweight. The fiberglass handle and no break co-polymer head makes this rake almost impossible to destroy. The swivel hanger at the end of the rake makes it easy to hang on any hook out of the way when not in use. Equipped with a 55-inch fiberglass handle. 21-inch rake head.

Keeps the grounds; for a high price.
This is one bad mofo. I love how it works, and it's light AF too, which is always nice. It's also overpriced though, which is why I dropped two stars. I have no idea what this costs to manufacture, but there's some seriously healthy margins in these prices. If you have deep pockets, this rake is for you. If you are more sensible with your money, there are plenty of acceptable alternatives in bog box stores that cost half this.

This rake exceeded my lofty expectations
I read so many glowing reviews and watched several YouTube videos that touted this rake and i'll tell ya what, this gizmo is the real deal.Installation was easier than expected, took probably 3 minutes. Make sure you lotion the handle or the receiving end before trying to insert and you'll be good.It does a wonderful job of de-thatching, but i'm also impressed that it didn't damage my healthy grass. In fact, after using this rake, my lawn looks healthier and more lush. My lawn seemed to be so heavily weighed down by dead grass and roots and this rake lifted sooooo much of that out and now my grass is sprawling.*The day the attached picture was taken the high temp was 88 and in the midst of a summer drought. I did heavily water my lawn before I dethatched and I would highly recommend, as my lawn responded well to this.

Be cautious about ordering from this vendor - mine arrived in pieces without assembly instructions
The rake is very nice, and is holding up well in rather intense spring clean up. It is very light weight, easy to handle and I would certainly buy it again - just probably from a different source. The vendor "Rittenhouse" (mkrittenhouse.com) shipped me a box containing pieces of the rake - but no assembly instructions. GREAT product - but suggest you look for it locally where you could buy it already assembled. It arrived in a box with the handle, backbone of rake head, and a bag of tines that had to be inserted, along with an interesting (but unfamiliar) fastener to secure the assembled head of the rake to the fiberglass handle . I was able to go on the manufacturer's website and by looking at a close up of the rake - figure out how to insert the tines. Once I figured it out (and got a rubber mallet) the assembly process went fairly smoothly. And based on the size of the hole - determined that I just had to pound the fastener into the assembled rake head once on the handle (which took some twisting to align the handle hole with the fastener hole on the rake head). So I "guessed" - and it worked. Thank goodness I went to an engineering school, but have to wonder if an ordinary gardener would have had the patience.

Best de-thatching rake ever!
Reaches down into live grass to remove dead grass blades and leaves--without thrashing the live grass like a regular leaf rake does when raking aggressively. Actually "combs" the live grass while very effectively removing essentially all thatch.Used to do de-thatching in the spring after mowing down the winter left overs. Hard work. Now doing de-thatching in the fall before snow, etc. mats everything down.Just purchased a couple more for spares... ;-)

Good for specific applications
Saw a professional tree trimming crew use these to clean up. Have a large property with lots of trees and their droppings to clean up.This is a well built rake with tough spring loaded wire tines. The tine ends are hooked so it digs into your lawn thatch pretty good. As such it does a good job doing just that. Does work with twigs and sticks you just have to watch the angle you hold it or it tends to get caught in the thatch. I wouldn't use it for just leaves. Glad I have it for sticks and twigs. Match the tool to the job.

Oh, I Love this DeThatcher !!!
After years of using the only other metal monster Thatcher, available at H/D, etc., this much wider, much more efficient, model is oh, so much better!!!It absolutely just removes dead, thatch between all my lawns and it does not take nearly as much effort, and extra plant material from my yard like that prehistoric designed one I have been using for over 20 years...I am so happy to have found this Company !! I will be back often to see what else I can perhaps purchase to make this yearly job, easier and better.. Thank you guys !!!!

Was cheaply made... came with pre drilled hole that didn’t line up and some kind of pin that resembles a rivet... no instructions which you wouldn’t think you’d need but I wouldn’t have thought I’d have to put a rake together either for the amount of money I paid... customer service wanted pictures of packaging ??? I don’t understand why when it was the hole and lack of understanding in how to attach the handle. Probably pre populated response...anyways very unhappy with product from my home state of Washington.... also shipping took foooorrrrrever! Not recommended

The Goldilocks Rake
I have a traditional heavy metal rake, I suppose meant for gardening, and it is much too heavy for raking light debris and leaves on my lawn, it just tears up the grass. And I have a big plastic leaf rake, but it's too light. It gets most surface leaves, but won't grab wet and matted leaves and does a very poor job with light debris like twigs, berries and sweetgum seed pods. This rake is right in the Goldilocks zone, it's perfect for raking the lawn, gardening, and spreading mulch. You will wonder why you wasted so much time with cheap rakes that don't perform.
