Kattee Vintage Leather Flapover Messenger Bag Fit 10" Laptop

I originally bought this bag back in November of 2017, so it’s almost two years old at this point.I bought this bag for several reasons. It’s small and fairly gender neutral, which is perfect because I have a strong aversion to anything too feminine, especially where bags are concerned.Even though it’s small, it can still fit everything that I need on a regular basis: My 10.5 inch iPad, a folding keyboard, kindle, headphones, and charging cords, plus a few incidentals like keys and a bag of dice. The pockets have remained strong and intact—no tearing of the internal fabric or holes in the leather from heavy use.The leather does change a little over time, though. When I first received the bag, I could run my fingers across the leather and see where they had been—there was almost a suede feel to it. That’s no longer there. Now, there’s this shiny patina all over everything, especially the back, where it bumps against my leg all the time. I’ve included a photo showing how it shines now.As I’m sure you know, this leather will also take on scratches. I knew this would happen, so it didn’t bother me too terribly much. It still takes a pretty harsh scratch to actually “take” and not fade away.The leather also sort of bends and conforms to how you’re using it. I used to overstuff my outer pocket, and now it’s a little bowed out to accommodate that extra volume. I don’t mind it.Aside from the cosmetic changes, the leather itself on the bag has held up really well. I can’t find any places where it looks like it’s wearing though (and I throw this bag around a LOT—I’m not gentle with it!). It is and will likely remain my go-to bag for running out the door to get some writing done. For me, this was definitely money well-spent.

Came on time and is better than expected. The leather is thick and sturdy perfectly keeping its shape and yet, the leather feels smooth, almost like suede. I have other bags, but they can hold the kitchen sink in addition to a lot of art supplies. I bought this because I wanted to limit the number of art supplies I took with me. A larger bag just tempts me to try and stuff ever more "Stuff" in it. Now I only have room for the essentials...and my back thanks me for that.But the bag is what you want to hear about isn't it. Well, I like the feel of it and the heaviness of the flap. That heaviness contributes to the feel of having a first-rate leather bag and not some cheap imitation leather bag hanging from my shoulder. In fact, because it is so heavy, it hangs down flat and the magnetic closure closes on its own...that is, if you don't overstuff the bag. Also, it helps keep the things in the main compartment from falling out too easily if you do overstuff it.Right now I have it pretty full with a 11x14 drawing tablet, two watercolor tablets, a 5"x8" and a 4"x4", 24 Inktense pencils, 24 color tinted graphite pencils, a set of 12 color pencils, a set of Micron fine liner pens, a pencil pouch full with mechanical pencils with varying degrees of soft and hard pencil leads, a fountain pen, a battery powered eraser, a multihole pencil sharpener and lead pointer, a brush pen, three watercolor markers, a Kindle Oasis, two cell phones (work & personal), earbuds, and a small blue tooth speaker.I have a feeling this will easily last as long as the all leather backpack that I bought back in 1986...and still use. I bought the small and love it! More than enough to hold the 5th Gen iPad (width and height, with a generous 1-1.5 inches to spare on each for the iPad) plus enough depth to in addition hold a thick hardcover and notepad. Also I have my wallet in there and the inside pockets are big enough for an iPhone 6+ Even though you wouldn't think it from the pictures. I can hold all of the above plus my keys, headphones, a charger, and it doesn't feel cramped / overfilled. The small is more than enough space but if you have more things, I guess the large would be the way to go. I was nervous about the quality from the few not-so-great reviews, and that the small would be *too* small, but I have zero regrets.Awesome quality, timeless look and strength. Would definitely buy another Kattee messenger bag but this one might just last me a few decades.

THE BEST MEN'S BAG EVER! I have had quite a few different small bags over the years and this one is positively the best bag I have owned and used. The crazy horse leather is stunning! and I really like the pen loops and small interior pockets for my phone and I-pod. I have the small size and it is AMAZING how much stuff I can put into it!- a tablet computer, 2 largish reading books, a wallet, sunglasses, keys, checkbook, phone charger- and I still have room for more- and it does not feel overcrowded! It is the perfect size, it is masculine, and I feel secure knowing my belongings can't easily be lifted when I'm walking around on the crowded city streets with it. GUYS- if you're looking for a "man purse" that is durable secure, and fits more than you think you could in it- this is the bag for you!!!

Fabulous bag! Quality construction and nice, thick leather that will only get better with use. The size is idea for an iPad or tablet, and holds my everyday items perfectly. The pen holder inside is a great feature, and for the size there are plenty of pockets to keep me organized. The only “con” if there is one is that he magnet closure isn’t ideal - I have to struggle a bit to get it closed however it’s not such a big deal that I would feel compelled to give it any less than 5 stars. Note: I originally ordered the small size and had to exchange it for the larger version as the small just wasn’t practical for a busy guy on the go. Love it!

It has multiple compartments in the inside, and it definitely has that vintage feel with more of that beaten up leather look! It’s a really nice bag and I constantly receive compliments on it!Bought it to bring my iPad to work and some EDC things with me. I’ve now upgraded to an iPad Pro 12,9 inch and it’s tight and no longer fits the small “outer” pocket but that’s no big deal.A lot of the edges started fraying. I’m not sure if it’s the material or the searing itself but il alright. I just chop it off with a knife!The patina it develops over time is G R E A T!Overall the bag Is solid and beautiful!

This bag is exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy, amazing quality, and looks great. It fits my 12 inch MacBook and a few other things I need for the day — I don't know if it would work for people who have a lot to carry around though, as stuffing too much in there changes the shape of the bag & makes it look lumpy.

Beautiful bag. Used it on a couple trips to put my travel notebook and maps. Nice that it comes with a slot for my fountain pen, which not many do.That said I am terribly disappointed. The stiches that join two ends of the shoulder strap started to come off. Given that this is a critical component of the bag. For the stitches to come off after such minimal use is unacceptable.Hoping the seller takes note and resolves. Will update.
