Carlson 24-Inch Extension for Maxi Pet Gate

I ordered the gate and these 2 extension pieces to corral my hyper min-pins on my deck. The opening is very wide (86"), and this was the only thing I could find that would fit the opening. It is rather flimsy, so unless you've smaller doglets, I would not recommend this to anyone who has larger, more active dogs. Assembly was also interesting as one finds out exactly how out of square a space can be when trying to match up one end with another and cutting and piecing together all the gate parts/extensions was trying to say the least. And, yes, there was some cutting required which was done with a square...unfortunately the opening was NOT! Yep, quite the project. But would I buy it again? Yes, I'd be forced to because of the size alone. And in the heat and humidity in south Florida, I expect it won't be long before I am doing so. It's already beginning to rust!!

The extension for the gate worked perfectly and the entire gate is designed so well. I am very happy with my purchase!

It's an extension, like the other reviews, not very sturdy but going across a 90' opening I had to use THREE of these. Longer run without support makes it flimsy I knew that going in... no biggie. Nothing short of building a wall is going to be sturdy at that length without support. No surprise there.However the main gate came with screws for the one included extension, but all of these came without screws. I was VERY annoyed with having to go and buy my own screws. Of course they aren't like the ones that come with the main section of gate so I have protruding screws that are a bit of hazard.

I originally purchased the extra wide gate at a retail establishment and discovered that I needed this extension to make it fit. As several other reviewers also experienced, the original gate came without the screws it was supposed to have. The extension, however, came just as ordered, including plenty of screws. The gate was fairly easy to assemble (I did it by myself in under 20 minutes) and works well. At 72", it has remained fairly stable. I'm not sure it would hold up to a large dog determined to bring it down, but for dogs/ kids/ etc. not interested in actively trying to break out, it has held up well. Good buy.

I purchased this because I have the same name brand gate, this is a rip off the extension that came with the gate you just hook it on that’s what I thought this should nope, it screws on, no hardware came with it and there’s nowhere on the gate to screw it onto I am not happy I tried to rig it up with no luck so this was a waste of money so now I had to order a hole New gate and wasted my money on this because you can’t contact the seller
