I love this series as they are well written, gripping stories of court intrigue and power play - written by a historian who can write well. Highly recommended

Having thoroughly enjoyed the previous two books, I found the last one no less compulsive reading. I add that I found it well written and held my attention throughout. Highly recommended.

So why is it that I feel there is something lacKing in this book to make it really great? Perhaps it's the way the author deals with the passing of time, very linear, jumping several years on occasion from one chapter to the next,waiting for the next event in Georges Villiers's malevolent life. I very much liked France's and Thomas' loving relationship and was fascinated bythe sulphurous atmoshere of James 1 court. Yet for a lady who had known how to escape so many traps, Frances ought to have realised that her curiosity would lead her into grave danger!It is a satisfying end to this interesting trilogy covering a period of time I was not familiar with.

I have loved the trilogy, and find Tracy Borman writing style excellent. The mix of fact and fiction is interesting and informative.

I loved the trilogy, and in particular, this last book. I simply couldn't put it down! If you like intrigue, (and so much more) amazing characters within a historical setting, and heart racing situations, then you will love Tracy's superb narrative.

My book arrived the next day as promised. In pristine condition.

Love all 3 books butthis one is getting my vote for the best one,so wish I could follow Tracy Borman round for a Day on her job.

Any book by Tracey Bormann is to be recommended. I have read all of the trilogy and thoroughly enjoyed each one.

This trilogy pulled me right in. I loved these books. It takes you back to the olden days and allows you to follow a young woman and her journey through life, it was heartbreak, love, suspense, sadness, joy and some laughter. I love that Tracey made these and look forward to more of her work.

J'ai adoré cette triologie qui nous promène de la conspiration du complot de l'explosion du parlement anglais, aux procès de sorcellerie sous James Ier à l'affaire méconnue de l'empoisonnement de Thomas Overbury à la Tour de Londres par le favoris en titre du roi...L'historienne Tracy Borman talentueuse dépoussière cette période, mon seul regret, qu'il n'y ait pas un Tome 4!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! I didn't even want to put it down to eat dinner. Hope you like it too.
