110V 90W 270RPM Ac Gear Motor Electric Single-Phase Motor Gear Motor with Variable Speed Adjustable Controller Governor Geared Motor and Adjustable Speed Controller Combo (5K)

This review is for the 90W, 270 RPM unit. I bought this to power my Tab and Slot welding positioner so I could have an on/off foot switch and speed controller. However, this unit is WAY too large and heavy for that. In fact this unit could be used as a weld positioner all by itself. Just add a turn table and voila!, you're done. This thing is about the same size and weight as an automotive starter motor. It's that heavy. It is extremely easy to wire up. All it requires is to add an electrical cord to the clearly marked screw connectors and plug in the speed controller. It is very powerful. Even at the lowest RPM I could not stall the motor shaft by hand. I'm going to keep it, but I won't be able to bolt it directly to the weld positioner because it is so heavy it would tip it over. I think one of the 12/24 volt DC motors would have been a much better choice for what I wanted to do with it. If you want a fantastic stand alone weld positioner, this is it. Just add a turn table. But I would choose a lower RPM unit for obvious reasons.

It's good for what it is intended to be used for a cookie conveyor and it keeps the wife out of my hair so it's well worth it

The motor itself is a workhorse, but the controller that came with the original turned out to be defective and the motor would overheat and jitter after 10 seconds or so of use. YUINDY (the seller) was very responsive and through me sending some videos of the problem and a few clarifying back and forths, they suggested sending a new controller to address the issue. They also offered to replace the whole motor, but I was willing to give their controller suggestion a try and it worked. Rare to see a company so responsive and willing to work on a problem, very customer focused.

The product is very good. The motor is very strong. This will work perfectly with our build. The seller is responsive and has the best customer service. We recommend buying this product.
