Exceeded all my expectations
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been a fan of Millennial Lotería on Instagram so when they announced a tarot deck I pre-ordered it immediately. It came today and it is SO beautiful and WELL MADE. The cards are quality, thick card stock and not too big, about the size of playing cards. Because the cards are thick, shuffling like you would a deck of cards is difficult. But this isn’t a dealbreaker for me.The booklet that comes with it is well made and so is the packaging. However FYI - The meanings for the cards in the booklet are playful. The booklet is NOT going to tell you everything you need to know about tarot and DOES NOT have in-depth meanings - it IS definitely a FUN, light-hearted take. You can reference any number of tarot books on Amazon to learn the meanings more in-depth.This tarot deck is legit and complete as you can see from my unboxing video. Experienced readers will be able to use this deck for readings. So happy to add this deck to my collection.

Love it 🤩
Love El Guidebook! Has witty remarks and engages the audience with #’s meaning your viewers can # down in the comment section if they resonated with the message. Short, sweet, simple PERIOD. The cards in itself are good card stock quality and bigger than a lighter to give you a size comparison. They have a glossy finish that reflects light off your camera, but because they are bigger in size, the image doesn’t get lost as easily in the glossy reflection. I love this purchase would recommend!

Great deck! Just has a tiny typo
I love the deck the only thing I noticed is that the word Diez is misspelled on each card of its kind. They spelled it as “Dies” when it should be “Diez”.

Love it or hate it, I guess?
I’ve owned many many tarot decks and I LOVE this one, it’s modern, fun, and lighthearted. I don’t mind that it is a pip deck, but a lot of people dislike them.

So disappointing
I am an experienced tarot reader and I analyze Mexican visual culture as part of my research; thus, my disappointment comes from being both an avid tarot deck collector and a fan of the history behind the imagery of the lotería game. As other reviewers have noted, this is a pip deck. The minor arcana cards are not illustrated, which is utterly misleading due to the image of the three of swords card on the deck preview. This card is the only minor arcana that has an illustration. I bought this deck because I like when artists create their own version of the classic tarot by reimagining it through their illustrations. This deck lacks creativity and comes out just plain lazy. Even the booklet and the interpretations of the artist are so unimaginative and mediocre for a deck that aims to play with both lotería and tarot imaginary. Finally, the quality of the cards and the box are also as poor as the art. My biggest issue is how misleading the preview photos and description of the deck are, which I don’t believe make my review biased, given the expectations that it’s was created around the release of this deck (I pre-order it because I like the art of Mike Alfaro, but there is no Latinx magic here). Such a disappointment.

Very entertaining!
I love the illustrations, which come up with amusing modern takes on traditional Loteria images.
