Very easy to use, but I doubt the accuracy when finding fish
I think it may be reliable to know the depth and structure underwater, but I'm not sure it can tell there's actually fish where casted. I keep getting the same read in a location saying there's fish, even when I'm there on different days of the week, and what I get every time I cast my hook there it's just weed. I decided to update to the WiFi model which gives me water temperature and size of fish; I've already bought it and tested it several times, and I think that model is more useful than this starting version.

Not useful for fishing
I took this sonar unit into the backcountry during a canoe trip. Half of the time I was trolling, the sonar showed no information. The other half of the time, it seemed to jump back and forth to the same numbers. It also seemed that the refresh rate was very delayed. I brought a second portable sonar from a high end brand, so I know what the depths should have been.Assuming the unit did function as intended, it only displays depths in METERS, which is a pain when all of my gear, line counters, lure charts, and downriggers are in FEET.I would definitely recommend buying from a well proven brand if you are serious about fishing. I only bought this unit because I could swap batteries rather than having to recharge them.

Ice Fishing
We bought this unit for the purpose of knowing the depth of the water we were fishing in. After using our auger to make a hole in the ice we set the Wireless Sonar Sensor to float in the open water. The unit takes a few seconds to calibrate and then records a depth on the screen. The depth reading fluctuates a bit before coming to the actual depth. We did not use any of the other features listed on the Fish Finder. We have used it several times and it appears to work well. We did lose the antenna off the main unit but we were able to order a new one on Amazon. Customer service was excellent and very prompt. We plan to use this LUCKYLAKER Fish Finder on wilderness canoe trips to assist us in water depths to determine the type of fish are present.

Doesn’t work.
Does not work, tells you there are fish false information.....says there are fish when it’s on the boat....out of the water...I was told by company I would receive a case for it. They never sent it...
