This method book for mandolin is very easy to follow. It is a helpful resource to a beginner like me.

Not quite as easy to use as I thought it would be

When I opened the book I thought it would tell about the mandolin and how to care for it, and some notes about how to play it. It was more about the history of the mandolin rather than about any information that I felt was helpful.

Pros: Basic introduction with good images.Cons: Needs an editor, better formatting, better translation, etc. With many years of piano, I was able to figure out what the author was trying to pass on, but overall, it would be hard for a true beginner to follow. The introductory songs, are not easy to play.Overall, I would not recommend it.

Not very easy to understand

Hknestly... For me it was too much Music Theory...and not enough Music Playing. As a beginner I want to know how to play the mandolin and not why it's 32th note with a birdseye or a 16th rest... Not important to me at this point in my mandolin learning.

Pretty basic, English translation odd and hard to follow at times. The end of the book has notation without any instruction as to where the notes are in the fret board. I would pass on this one.

I agree with the other reviewers. The English is very poor, or just pain muddled. Was it badly translated from some other language? Very hard to read. Tear out the fingering charts and throw the rest away. B.

It's an ok kind of book in itself. Let down by poor writing.Some sentences do not make sense, like writer was translating from another language or no one edited / proof read the book.Pretty basic information. Would not bother to read again.

This book appears is difficult to understand as it is written in pigeon English, don’t waste your money on it
