So Far So Good
After removing 12 separate screws, I was finally able to remove the bottom panel of my five year old HP Envy 17t laptop. Trying to remove the old, worn out battery was extremely difficult, due to several screws refusing to come out. My mistake for not using the provided Phillips screwdriver instead of my own. However, once I overcame that, it was easy to slip in the new battery. Also replaced the 1TB HDD with a 1 TB SSD, also ordered from Amazon. Replaced the bottom panel and all the screws, crossed my fingers, and turned the power back on. Voila, my laptop was alive and well. The new battery is doing fine (as is the new SSD). No compatibility issues. Charges and discharges normally. My old touch pad is still wonky, but I simply switched to a wireless mouse. Very happy with the new battery so far. Great price. Works well. Am curious as to why the old battery had what appears to be a metal shield of some sort attached.

Easy installation, works well so far.
Sue here. I needed to replace the battery in my HP laptop so I could turn it on and transfer my data to a new computer. It was easy to replace the battery in my 17" HP Envy laptop myself, and is currently doing it's job.

Great replacement battery
My battery wasn’t charging fully and only going to around 72%, but it didn’t seem to last long. I opened up my laptop to find a very swollen lithium battery that was a fire hazard. About 30 minutes later, I had this one installed and it works perfectly with 6-8 hours of battery life again. I would absolutely recommend this one!

Dead in Six Months
This battery is sub-standard and should be avoided. It lasted from May to November, six months, before dying. Buyer beware.

Perfect fit
This battery replacement works very well. It is a perfect fit and the included tools make the installation simple and fast.It charges up quickly and the computer came up and ran exactly as it should.I wish it would run longer before needing to be recharged. But for the price and ease of installation I will never complain. After all, I use the computer primarily as a desktop unit so recharging is not an issue.If this computer lasts long enough to need another battery, I will definitely order from this vendor again.
