This is a quirky but cool looking doll. It reminded me a bit of the characters in the film Coraline (for those who have seen that), especially the button eyes.Be careful when unboxing it with your child as the packaging can be turned into a playset so don't go ripping it open. There is a perforated flap found on the back that will let you access and still keep the house packaging intact.Though there is the obvious sewing connotations with this doll series, I was surprised that the actual body of the ragdoll is made from plastic! Yes this obviously makes for a much more durable play toy as it's flopped about the place, but surely a soft toy, one that has been actually sewed, would be truer to the brand.Anyway... the one we got is called Jewel Sparkles and she is dressed in a lovely pink dress and comes with her little Persian ragcat (but again plastic!). A nice touch is the little character profile/info card found attached to the box to help introduce the doll to your child.My daughter absolutely loves it and as I mentioned earlier I think it does look fantastic and unlike anything else on the market at the moment. So even though she is plastic, this gets the full 5 stars here.

It's big, super cute, and well made. I love the unique details, setting it apart from other dolls. This is our new favorite toy! My daughter's eyes literally lit up when she saw it. It's great quality, easy to wash, and so fun to play with.The quality is great and they seem to be durable.It comes with extra cardboard patterns to finalize the doll's house, especially with a nice pink bow that secures on top of the house. I am really amazed at how beautiful, and big this doll is, and the Lalaloopsy Jewel Sparkles Doll not only comes with a beautiful clothes dress, a beautiful house but with a little cute pink cat.Recommended toy!

This Lalaloopsy Jewel Sparkles doll is really nicely presented. The doll comes in a cardboard box that’s shaped like a house and designed to be reused as a playhouse. The box is exciting looking. The way this arrives it looks like such a beautiful present.The Jewel Sparkles doll is very attractive. Friendly-looking, large-sized, and dressed in vivid, shiny pink, with florescent yellow underskirts, bows, and belt. The doll’s arms and legs are poseable. I like the details of the faux button eyes, sewn effect mouth, and patched cheeks. The Persian cat pet that comes with this doll has pretend overlock stitching around the edges, and mismatched fake button eyes.However, it seems weird to me that a doll series whose underlying theme is sewing and recycling, with the dolls’ backstories that they have been repurposed from clothing (in this case, coming from “A real princess’ dress”) are made almost entirely from plastic and new, plastic-derived fabrics.As a planet, we have so much waste material and specifically disposable fashion that needs recycling/repurposing, it’s a real shame that the message of the dolls’ concept didn’t translate into a toy series that matches the ideals.I like the idea that the packaging can (at least temporarily) become a home for the toy, but do note that whilst the majority of the packaging is cardboard there are still some plastic components. Both the doll and her little cat companion have clear plastic packaging behind them as mounts, and there are plastic-coated wire ties used to hold things in place. At the top of the box is an ornately decorated plastic handle, with plastic bead ties holding cards about the doll in place.I’m not convinced any of this plastic was necessary. The box handle could have been a natural fabric ribbon (reusable), or perhaps a hair band – similar in shape to the handle design used but something that a child receiving this could use regularly. The ties could have been paper. There was no need at all for the plastic staging.

This Jewel Sparkles doll is super cute and very pretty. I loved so much about it! She is bright and colourful, her pretty dress can be removed, along with the shoes. It means they can be cleaned if they get a bit mucky, very important when dolls are played with so much. The dress itself if we'll made and lots of effort has been made to make it feel and look fabulous. Lots of extra detail being added such as giving the dress an under skirt, with bows, ribbon and buttons. The shoes are plastic, but even these had pretty bows on. Her pet person cat is cute to! The box itself can be converted into a house, which is a nice touch! Depending on the age of the child though and having experience with similar ideas, this will probably need an adult to put it together. Be careful when opening the box as there are instructions. The box comes with a carrying handle as well.Overall a very cute, pretty doll that children will love playing with.
