Good binoculars in general
I bought this binoculars to watch a musical in the theater.About the smell: it does have the bad smell as the other comments mentioned. I've put it in open air for two days before I went to the theater, and I'm OK to stand it for several hours. I stored it in the case at home and there is no bad smell outside the case.For the binocular it self: I sat at the 3rd floor of a big theater, this binocular helped me a lot to see clearly the expression on everyone's face on the stage. Though it's not as clear as my friend's 7*50 binoculars, but this is as expected since it's only a 5*30. I'm satisfied with the binocular function.I only used it once after I bought it, there is no problem for duration so far. The plastic doesn't feel the best, but it's good for the price.

They are not bad
They are ok for the cost. If you truly want to view something long distance, they are not the clearest. They are great for kids who would be thrilled to view something across the room. They are not for taking to an arena or basketball game.

Great for first pair of binoculars for kids
I ordered two of these from separate sellers one came with everything as advertised the other pair did not include the case. Normally wouldn't have been a problem except my two children fought over who would get the case until I finally had to go purchase an alternative case for the second pair. I didn't notice a strong smell on the pair without the case but the pair that came with the case did have a strong odor for about a week.

Great product for the price
Great value. Fits perfect in your pocket or purse. Vision is medium. But for the price. It's totally worth it.

Very happy with them
I don't know why others complained about the smell, the ones I got didn't have any strong or bad smell.I'm certainly not an expert on binoculars, but these seem very good for the price.

A cheap binocular
What could you expect from a binoculus for a little bit more than $6?It's cheap looking, cheap made and a woks so-so.But I knew what I was buying.

The product is fine. I haven't had a chance to use them but am signed up for a POP concert soon when I shall be able to rand them adequately
