LOVE this coffee maker -- it is easy to use, compact, and makes better coffee than a previous much more expensive one -and the silver is a stylishly fit with my stainless appliances A critical reason I chose this maker is that the hot plate stays on for 2 full hours -- double what most coffee makers will do. I also like the compact size-- it's several inches in all directions smaller than similar ones I compared. Other reviews indicate it's slow, but it doesn't take any longer than my 5 cup pot (brewed both on medium), and I like that I can set the brew strength. Unlike some folks, I also found it easy to pour water into the reservoir and coffee into my cup. Great value for the cost, ability to adjust brew strength , and programmability. I used a paper filter instead of the permanent one -- #4 worked great and only brew only 5 cups most days -- tastes great either way.

I love this coffee pot! I just bought my second only because the original one was getting old and dirty. The second one I bought is actually better than the first! This one has a better pouring spout in the carafe and the lid stays up better than the first one did. I live alone and this coffee pot allows me to brew the exact amount of coffee that I drink in one day. I fill two mugs from this one little compact pot. The coffee tastes great from it and it hardly takes up any space on the counter top. It looks great sitting there too! I really love this coffee pot and can not really imagine using any other one after using this one. It is perfect for me. I will say that I do not use the reusable filter that came with it only to make clean-up easier since I do not have a garbage disposal I use the cone filters and I feel they fit in the basket just right.

My Keurig, after 5 years, stopped working. In the last 2 months I have purchased 2 more Keurigs (one refurbished, that I didn’t realize until after receiving). I had nothing but trouble with both of them. After 3 lonnnng phone calls with Keurigs with no resolution, I threw all 3 in the garbage.I then purchased a small 5 cup Krups drip coffee maker. I am very happy with this product, and considering the cost, was the best deal I’ve had in a long time. My only wish was that it would automatically turn off. My only complaint is that the top will not stay open when filling with water.

Love this coffee maker...first time owning a Krups...brew time is fast...coffee taste is great with the 3 different strength choice to choose from every time you brew a pot of coffee and the coffee is always hot...I love that it also comes with a reuseable coffee filter....so convenient...I replaced my Keurig with this Krups coffee maker...best choice I ever made

Purchased this for my Mom, every week she tell me how much she loves her new coffee pot. My sister said when her pot dies she's buying on of these. So this is what Momma said, "Makes a good hot pot of coffee, it does not have a auto brew feature, the coffee taste great and it's easy to feel without making a mess."

I bought this coffee maker for my camper van. It is super small, brews a great pot of coffee and the carafe does not spill or drip. Highly recommend!

I purchased this coffee maker based on my experience with an excellent coffee grinder by the same manufacturer. The taste of the coffee and the excellent carafe would earn 5 stars, however, I find the soft touch buttons a little gimmicky which wouldn’t affect my rating much if the warming plate wasn’t almost impossible to clean. It has a somewhat coarse finish and seams to trap burnt coffee and water scale which transfers to the bottom of the carafe. I clean the coffee maker after each brew but the warming plate still gets a mottled whitish brown and puts a burned coffee ring on the bottom of the carafe. I have to use a baking soda paste to clean it off . If this doesn’t bother you the coffee is good and the carafe is as close to dripless as I have found.

This is a great little coffee maker. I stopped drinking coffee so it didn’t make sense to use the 12 cup maker. We have a one cup maker similar to Keurig but my husband doesn’t like how that coffee tastes. So, I got this for my husband for Christmas.Please keep in mind that a “cup” of coffee is actually 3/4 cup. This is universal no matter which coffee maker you have. Goes for tea as well. The tiny carafe clearly does not hold enough water to make 5 literal cups! We have 20 oz mugs so this makes 1 cup and enough for a top-off at the end.The lid does close but you have to press it lightly until it snaps closed.As with any pitcher, you have to pour the water slowly into the reservoir or it will dribble and spill.Filling water to the 5 cup water line on the left should result in coffee that goes up to the 5 cup coffee line on the right. When I did the initial rinse brew, 5 cups of water it gave me 5 cups of “coffee” aka hot water. The first time I brewed coffee, it gave me 5 cups to the water line. I haven’t checked the level since the first time but the coffee always tastes fine. (See photo)Pros:It came packaged securely and arrived in one piece.It’s easy to use and brews a good pot of coffee.The price was similar to name brand 5-cup coffee makers.Cons:I use the filter the unit came with but it seems flimsy so I make sure to rinse it carefully after each use. I could see that breaking over time. I read that paper filters might not fit properly so I will keep using the permanent one and keep my fingers crossed.I knew this before I purchased the machine, but I do wish it had an automatic shut off for safety. I have to shut it off once it finishes brewing or leave a note to remind myself to shut it off. If the company could add that feature in future models, this would be a 5 star for sure.
