"Similar to" but not quite the same as Tulip Etimo hooks
I've been using Tulip Etimo (made in Japan) hooks for over 10 years, crocheting for 50. I have the Tulip gray handle set, the pink handle set, and recently bought the red handle set. Out of curiosity, I wondered how this "Much less expensive No Name" (made in China) set would compare to the Tulip Etimo, since it looked so similar on the Amazon site. The handle feels very similar to the Tulip but is just slightly wider or bigger around. A few of the hooks' shaft lengths are a little bit different than Tulip. For comparison, the tulip hook is the one on the bottom of my first 2 pictures. I tried to show the "real difference" in the hook end itself, maybe a better comparison in the 3rd picture with my 10 year old Tulip gray set side by side. The tulip hook has a little more shaping to allow for yarn on pull through than "No Name". The 4.5mm is the only one I've tried so far and can crochet with it without too much difficulty. It does sometimes snag the yarn on pull through for me (a pencil hold crocheter). The metal is smooth, I'm thinking it's the hook shape that is my snag. It could be that I just need to get used to the slight difference. The "no name" case is plastic with a velcro closure and will not hold up like a Tulip case. I would not trade these for my Tulips but if you like Tulip Etimo hooks and a set is out of your price range, these "might" be an alternative.

Comfy but not soft
It is worth the wait. It is a little rough but the grip is very comfy for my hand. I love the color.

Know what your buying.
Keeping in mind that this is a cheap set, they are well worth the money. The tip of the hook is rounded like a Boye. Only one of mine was snagging, I was able to remove the barb with my fingernail. It slid better after that. The handle is shaped much like the popular Tulip hook. It is slightly thicker, and the thumb grip is slightly wider ( good thing). The surface of the handle is not as slippery as the Tulip, it is more slide resistant. The case is cheap plastic, and won't last. It does have a Velcro closer. Tulip is the only hook better for a pencil grip crocheter.

OK for the price
I like how affordable they are. I just wish that they were thicker to hold onto.

Very comfortable for arthritic hands.
These hooks are very comfortable with their ergonomic shape and soft silicone handle. Yarn slides smoothly on the aluminum shaft. Love using these!

Gross.
The media could not be loaded. In these days of Covid, I didn’t like ???stuff on packaging. Hooks look fine, but I’m sterilizing them. I’m assuming this is glue from where the Velcro was attached. But still, three case away.

Comfortable but "Sticky"
My mom taught me to crochet when I was a little girl. She taught me the only way she knew - holding the crochet hook like a pencil. Decades later when I took up crochet seriously, it didn’t take me long to figure out that the overhand hold for a crochet hook was more comfortable and faster (for me, anyway). In my pursuit of an ever more comfortable grip, I bought an ergonomic plastic ball that could accommodate any hook from a B to a K. And it’s fantastic! The problem with that is that I have only one, but I generally have multiple projects going at once, and I don’t always have the patience to switch it out to the hook I need.So I was really excited about this set of ergonomic hooks. First of all, I love the color! The rubber grips could definitely be chunkier (I have taken a liking to holding something big), but they do the job. I especially like the fact that they come in sizes measured in millimeters instead of traditional American letters (B-K). I am now the proud owner of 4 hooks that have no American equivalent! As an aside, I did have to look up the American equivalents and labelled the hooks in this set that have corresponding letters so I know what’s what. The problem I have with these hooks is that they’re “sticky.” Traditional aluminum hooks are smooth, and the yarn easily slips on and off as you crochet. These hooks don’t release the yarn easily. It shouldn’t be a problem for people who crochet loose, but my normal tension is a little on the tight side. Since I started using them as soon as I got them, while I was in the middle of a project, I had to make a couple of adjustments to make sure my tension matched. I’m using a hook one size smaller than I was originally using, and I’ve loosened my tension to allow the yarn to slide on and off. I’m hoping the rough surface of the hooks will wear off with use.

Worst I ever used, very rough, not smooth at all.
I’ve been crocheting for 50 years and these are the worst hooks I ever used. They were very rough and pulled at the yarn. Didn’t return them because I didn’t know where to send them.
