The East India Company - Assam SFTGFOP1 Single Estate Loose Leaf Black Tea 100g

Not purchased from Amazon but the east India company in London, the caddy version is visually beautiful as is the tea contained inside. It says to use 2 teaspoons but I’ve always used one in black teas and one works perfectly for a nice strong malty brew if brewing between 4-5 minutes.It’s exactly as a perfect Assam should be with some rich, deep and highly complex flavoured tea that’s perfect with or without milk, but the milk does die the astringency and bitterness and adds a lovely creamy note with 4% milk. This is my special occasion tea though as at £50 a pack it’s pretty pricey but good for special occasions or just to treat yourself and it still works out a lot cheaper than buying a cup of tea out, I’d much rather brew a pot of this out half in my morning mug and the rest in my thermos and I’ve got a nice beautiful tea to drink all morning without having to pay costa or starbucks about £2 a cup.
