This is *excellent* at holding chapstick! I have found, when I need to twist the dial to make the stick move up, I do need to remove it from the encasing and put it back.Installation of the chapstick into the tube was a breeze (I use Carmex). I was able to squeeze the sides of the tube to hug the chapstick with my bare hands.I now own two of these Keychains. They are incredibly durable. The one on my purse has been there since August 2021, held up well, even with the purse getting tossed around rooms, dumped into cars, tossed into the car, etc. I got a second tube for my Keychain when my lips got chapped and I couldn't find either my purse (pandemic life) nor the current opened chapstick tube.I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to bring chapstick with them on the go, or just looking to be able to attach their chapstick to something that isn't as likely to be lost. Note: Chapstick is not included. I'm deeply confused about why the review section is asking about flavor/moisturizing for a metal tube. The seller did explicitly call out that chapstick was not included at the time I had purchased the metal tube for myself.Anyone looking for flavors/mositurizers: I recommend lip balms/chapstick themselves as metal tubes are (probably) not tasty, and definitely provide zero moisture.If you lost the instructions: Just like in the image, the dial end faces the key ring, and the cap end faces you. The instructions mention the chapstick will fall out if you reverse that order, but I haven't given that a try for myself.

You have to squeeze to adjust them to your lip chap at first, but they are solid after that. Been using them for a few weeks with no issues. If the case is too loose, it will slip a bit when you take off the cap. Just remove your lip chip and adjust until snug.

This product has saved me more than three times what I paid for it. I have not lost a single tube since I started using it. I have purchased three of these since the first one and I am thoroughly pleased with them. One is on my keys, which are almost always with me, another is on my ski jacket on a retractable keychain holder, and the remaining one is on my work badge.Pros- Fits any regular tube chapstick- Does not loosen up over time- Protects the dial to prevent smooshing and wastage.Cons- Does not hold oversized tubes beyond the larger chapsticks.- Not for the bowl shaped chapsticks.Beyond those two cons which are not of import to myself since I use regular sized and shaped tubes there are no negatives. I have not lost a single tube since I began using this product. It's a cheap stocking stuffer and everyone I have given this to, who was shocked/disappointed at first, has changed their minds once they see how much they have saved after not losing anymore money to misplaced chapstick.

I like to buy Burt's bee lip balm and this cost about three dollars a stick. I had a tendency to lose it by it falling out of my pocket. With this holder this has prevented me from losing it. The holder holds it with my keys so I won't lose it. Also I am able to access it without digging in my pocket since it is attached to my key ring. Another problem I had is when I would change pants or shorts I would forget to transfer my Burts Bee over. Now with this holder it is always transferred over since I need my keys to drive. The only disadvantage of this holder is you can't use your lip balm while you are driving since it is attached to your keys. If this bothers you buy some extra lip balm for your car. This has paid off because I now am not losing my Burt's Bee lip balm.
