Great reference!
Simple, direct, and concise read on how to improve your business writing. Chapters are brief and compact with useful recaps. The author starts with a section on how to focus and start writing. Afterwards he discusses ways to develop your writing skills and further elaborates briefly on what to avoid when writing. He ends the book with suggested approaches on common forms of business writing (e-mails, memos, reports, etc.). There are helpful appendices about useful grammar and punctual rules along with a primer of good usage. Very helpful and quick book.

Only one I found that was not outdated by today's standards
Hard to believe how outdated most business writing books have become. Checking descriptions & publish dates carefully, I finally ordered this one. Wow, it has every topic I needed for my Business English class. The advice is relevant to today's business style. Thank you for including so many real world samples - and each sample is relevant in the larger corporate environments. The appendices are priceless. Easy to read. Great price.The only CON is the smaller book; perhaps a larger 'workbook' size, resulting in fewer pages? But that is just my personal preference - more room for notes.

The good habits that writers need to develop
This is a great resource. It is easy to follow and very direct in style. It offers valuable lessons about being organized as a writer and developing a mental map of what one intends to communicate. All in all, it has great habits that writers could learn so as to grow in the profession.

A must have
This book is absolutely amazing. I recently switch jobs and it has been driving me insane the style of writing within the organization. I purchased this book to continue developing my writing styles and ensure I do not join the terrible writing of this particular company. I honestly believe this book should be a requirement for those with officer roles ( AVP, VP and up..) This is one purchase you will not regret and may even assist in your next raise.

Not thought through. Requires an editor. This requires more content to require more editing.
The author acts too confident. He doesn't have enough business experience. His statements are not thought through. He includes repetitious incerpts of certain writers commenting on certain grammatical phrases, but he is quintessentially wishy-washy; he doesn't decide what is a better overall form of writing.The author does not have enough advice on different topics. This book doesn't contain the thoughts it requires to be an absolute guide.
