Not bad but could be a little bit more informative regarding unnaturally added substances.
The book is not exactly what i was looking for, as it is mostly written about the labeling and not the product itself. In the content of the book, all the information is good and all but what puzzles me, as a simple consumer, is that the author did not correlate properly the calories with the fat. Saying said that, i personally always knew that even if there is not much fat in a product but there are a lot of calories in it, by consuming the product and not being active (i emphasize the being active part), the calories will simply convert to fat and accumulate in the body (that is what bears do), although i read the book only once so i am not sure if i missed anything.

Informative and Recommended!
This book will illuminate the fact that the food industry is LYING to us, every. single. day. It is a quick read, and if you are buying packaged food regularly, you really ought to read it... it's very insightful and I have found nothing else like it. It's a bit too vague at times, but I'm not sure I could fault the author for that so much as the actual lack of clarity when it comes to food labels and laws. I reference this book often. This book, like so many others, importantly reinforced how important critical thinking in daily life is. I'm not a fan of making more laws to control and suppress, I'd rather leave the power to the people to decide what to do... food included. But for that to work, we need to be well-informed about our choices. This book will leave you feeling well-equipped to make the best food choices.
