Great product, impressed with the quality considering the price.Only criticism is the lack of detail on the instructions but here's the steps I'd recommend - hope they help.1. Worked out the opening angle2. Measure the fastening locations (using photos from seller and others)3. Check fastenings won't foul the door edges4. Mark screw locations5. Remove door for easier screw install6. Screw in (pre-tap if needed)7. Re-attach door8. Push arm onto the ball/socket joints

Bought these to support the lid of a window seat cum ottoman I built. The lid is 1500mm x 600mm 18mm plywood so fairly heavy. Certainly much heavier than the door of a kitchen cabinet bridging unit. These are typically only 600mm wide.I bought the 120N version as I wanted the maximum support for the lidEasily supports it at 75° opening. It also does 90° and 110° openings. Can't hold it from about 45° when it will crash shut. ie not soft closing. However, it would be asking a lot of it due to the leverage of the lid.Pleased with the item

Used these for my daughters wooden toy box. Good quality for the priceInstructions were easy enough to follow so not sure why others had problems.The included butter screws are rubbish. They were OK for the MDF walls of the toy box but the heads snapped off when screwing them in to the oak lid, even after drilling pilot holes. Swapped these ones for better quality screws I had lying round.

As a home diyer, I tend to do allot around the house myself but this was my first experience fitting gas struts. I’m sure there many ways to fit these but truth be told it took allot of guess work to get them to fit correctly.Having said that, when I finally did get them fitted in the correct position they serve there purpose brilliantly. They are sturdy and very functional. I fitted them to an overhead cupboard in my kitchen and honestly I can’t grumble at the end finish.My advise would be to do some research if your planning on doing then yourself at home, if your a tradesman then disregard this.. I’m sure it’s easy enough for you.

This item arrived safe and well packaged.A very well constructed pair of cupboard lifting mechanisms.These are made of high grade materials and fits onto my garden tool shed perfectly. They appears to be a very good size, as they would have been a good replacement for any of my kitchen doors too. But these have now been fitted onto my garden tool shed as the doors were heavy and awkward before. This makes them lighter to lift and they stay in place very well too.These are good strong mechanisms that lift up every time, reliably and consistently.I highly recommend this product.

I actually love this gas spring which opens the door covering the electrical distribution box. Acts as a stay to hold it open and by going over centre when shut, a catch to hold it closed.

Fantastic product! Was a bit sceptical because of some of the reviews but thought we would try it on a toy box we made and we are so pleased! It’s not slow close per say but does make the close slowerrrr for small hands but it keeps the lid up so no bumps on the head. A bit fiddly to install but took no longer than 15mins for both to be fitted either side. All round really good value for money. Just make sure you mark up before you drill so it fits correctly.
