Q: I was thinking of making a mold with plaster, but will this stick to the plaster mold?

Not sure if I understand you correctly, but if you are trying to make a mold with plaster then add this product to the mold it will most likely stick. You can use alginate to make the mold then fill the alginate mold with this product, let it dry then remove the alginate. It is safe, non-toxic and effective. Q: How large of a piece can one make from 28oz of compound? Since it dissolves in water, can I essentially fill a 28oz mold?

I am pretty sure that is 28oz by weight. To give you a idea 28oz box will do a cast of my hand or almost 2/3rds of my foot which is size 11.5 wide. Hope that helps.

One big bag but you will probably use it all up at once because it really isnt alot. You can cast an average size foot with this amount. No more.
