I used it during vacations and battery life was good for several hours of recording. i didn't have to charge every night. Battery extends out quite a bit but I don't care because I'm concerned more about the battery's extended long life. Great product.

Battery dramatically underperforms
This is supposed to be a comparable battery to the large Sony NP-FV100, but it performs more like a small NP-FV50. The battery life is pitiful for a battery this physically large. I’ll definitely be spending the extra money on a genuine Sony battery as a replacement for this worthless brick.

Held a charge for the whole day
Bought this for a fund raising event to replace the orginal tiny battery that came with the camcorder. Fully charged, it said 5+ hours. Used the camera a bit then left it over night and the camera said 4 hours and 40 mins so that told me it can keep a charge. Then, the day of the event I used the video camera for about 2.5 hours and the battery symbol in the viewfinder always showed full. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Good quality for the price
You can spend much more money on a genuine Sony Battery if you want to, but thus far, I can't see why you would want to. It fits perfectly, and it appears to hold its charge for quite a long time. Good replacement battery, for sure.

Good long-life battery.
I bought 2 of these - I really like the battery life, however; I did have one fall apart on me after 2 years. On a full charge, It allows me about 300 minutes of battery life depending upon how cold it is outside.

DOESN'T WORK
Extremely dissatisfied with the battery replacement service. My device's says "Battery not compatible" and shuts off automatically.Disappointing experience, and I expected better results.

Took a chance on a generic brand and pleasantly surprised!
It really is long lasting, I had an issue with it not working with my camera and they replaced it, very easy! Since its extended it does stick out but it's not too bad. I recommend it for sure
