I recently purchased a "fabric based" suitcase and upon suggestion of my sister, I decided to purchase a luggage cover. The cover itself fit my 21", fixed dual wheel carry on well. Cutouts were approximate and allowed exposure for all handles, etc. Unlike my daughters luggage cover, this does not have a zipper bottom closure. The closure at bottom of bag is a thin strip of velcro. As it did cover my bag nicely, the velcro, itself, did not stay closed and I found that I needed re-close several times while in airport. I am considering adding another strip of velcro and/or using some sort of safety pin closure on my next trip. Like that it is machine washable and that it protected my bag from dirt/stains/tears during travel. We watched bags being loaded on an outgoing plan. Would probably not suggest if you needed to "check-in" bag as not sure if velcro would come undone and cover would roll up on bag, especially the way we witnessed baggage handlers throw the bags around.

I've only used it once so far, but was pretty pleased. Though it wasn't a perfect fit, it was easy to get onto my Samsonite (soft shell) suitcase. I wish I had gotten one for my smaller case as well, as the airport damaged it. I'll be buying another for it before my next trip. This cover made it easy to spot, but also protected my case from getting dirty at the airport, and in the trunks of cabs, and the cruise port. I was not a fan of leaving my belongings unattended in the cruise ship's hall and free for anyone who might desire to have a peek inside my case. A cover like this made it an unlikely candidate for theft.For the smaller case, I bought a locking strap. I'll include pictures of it also since they case and the strap went together very well. I also bought the strap that connects 2 cases together for easy transport...so worth it! And they all look like they were made to go together.

If the workmanship on this product was good I'd have given it 5 stars. It may have been my bad luck, but received two defective items. The first was missing one side of the strap. Contacted the seller (HoJax Direct) and they responded right away but they couldn't do anything because it was fulfilled by Amazon. They said that I had to contact Amazon. In the end I had to do a return and re-purchase, which was fine, but it went up in price. My replacement item was also defective in that the seam was coming apart on the side. Since we have a trip coming up soon and not wanting to deal with the hassles of a return / re-purchase again we're just going to pay someone to re-sew the seam.About the product:1. Made of nice material. Really like the thickness and elasticity. We got the large size (26-28"), our luggage is 28" and it stretches perfectly over our bag.2. It has 3 openings: Two on the top and one on the side, all perfectly placed for our luggage.3. It has Velcro flaps on the bottom which also work great.4. It has two straps on the bottom that buckle together to better hold the cover in place.

This is my first time purchasing a cover for my luggage. I also ordered a new carry on suitcase at the same time thinking this would fit perfectly, unfortunately it was way too big and loose towards the wheels, I did some walking around in my home and quickly realized this would be problematic as I could hear and see the material rubbbing against the wheels, I can only assume this would cause it to get holes or tear quite easily, it definitely wouldn’t have survived a single trip so I assumed I should have ordered a small instead of a medium but prior to writing my review I decided to try this on the normal carry on suitcase that I use and bam it fit perfectly! So for the medium cover I honestly don’t know if it’s too big on the new suitcase or just perfect on my usual carry on. See attached photos to compare the two and see my review for the suitcase I’m referring to for exact measurements. The suitcase it fit was from Victoria’s Secret, I tried to look up the measurements but they are no longer on the website. If your luggage is the size of mine on the left then medium is perfect. If your suitcase is like my pink on the right I suggest ordering a small. All in all this is a great item, I’m pleased that the black is very dark and not sheer at all. I’m definitely ordering a couple more!
