Turn the World Upside Down: Discipling the Nations with the Seven Mountain Strategy

My initial thoughts were we have been robbed, and the thief or stronghold has been exposed in dispensationalism. Yet I wish there was a little more elaboration and documentation in clearly making the case. Bringing in Martin Luther as an example was masterful but Luther truly demolished the strongholds of his day, this book barely left a dent in truly explaining why we can believe in the sovereign reign of Christ now and victory not defeat in the last days. The church has been robbed of its victorious heritage. We need to know clearly from the Bible and history why the futurism of the eschatology of the 1800's is false. Why we can confidently conquer the seven mountains of culture because of the promise of a sovereign God, not because of our own strength, wisdom or ability(which thankfully was addressed in the book). "God's glory will fill the earth as the waters cover the seas" Habakkuk 2:14. As an introduction to the subject it is great, but we need some Luthers to rise up and demolish the strongholds that stand against the knowledge of God. I thank God for pastor Mike Maiden! Yet humorously, I think that a warning label should be added: flavor enhancing scripture paraphrases(versions) used like MSG,AMP etc. in case people have allergic reactions.

Since I first learned of the 1975 prophecy that came simultaneously to Bill Bright (Campus Crusade for Christ) and Loren Cunningham (Youth with a Mission), spreading the message has become one of the main focuses of my ministry, It was in 2011 that I first heard the revelation from Johnny Enlow and soon after was blessed with Lance Wallnau's perspective. When I read "Turning the World Upside Down", my immediate reaction was Michael Maiden has beautifully and comprehensively laid out this paradigm changing teaching. I'm on my third time through trying to fully get this destiny changing message into my spirit and fully comprehend the revelation this book adds to the subject. As we have done with other paradigm changing books like "The Shack", "The Veil", and "The Seven Mountain Mandate", my wife and I are buying copies to give away. Our impact in the church and in the world has dramatically changed as we partner with Him. This book has wiped away ignorance and given us vision. A 20 year prayer warrior to whom I loaned the book said. "This is a message the whole church needs to know." I wholeheartedly agree.

It’s something I already knew since God has being opening my eyes lately. I have dreams and vision in accomplishing God’s work for his kingdom since a little girl. The book is for those who do not know themselves yet and still don’t know what they want to do for God. I liked the Bible references that were used when giving examples of characters. Very helpful for someone who doesn’t know or understand the Bible well. It reflected to our real lives.

In all the books I've ever read, this read is in my top 5! I've marked highlights throughout. If you want to know how to bring a shift to your life and your sphere of influence, Turn The World Upside Down is for you. I'm recommending it to people continuously!!!
