Yet another great read.
I really looked forward to this book and didn't put it down till I finished it in less than a day. Great characters and storylines are easy to follow. DCI Miller's character has a good background story that makes you want to know more as well as the cases he's involved in. I can't wait for the next one.

The actress and the postman.
Another excellent book featuring DCI Rob Miller and his team, ably assisted by his pregnant partner, former NCA agent Jo McGuire.Twelve years previously four respected business men had been found brutally murdered, their bodies laid out within a pentagram. Various theories aounded, it the crimes remain unsolved.By fluke the DNA taken in another case pings as a partial match to unknown DNA found on one of the victims bodies. Why would the DNA of a sixteen year old girl be a partial match to this man, in fact it showed that he was her father. The girl was living with her mother, Bella, a former prostitute,Do on a rundown council estate, whereas he lived in an immaculate up market house with his perfect wife, a highly successful interior designer, and his privately educated offspring.TheFurther digging into his finances reveal a regular payment to his lover, who gave up her former career after finding out she was pregnant. It appears to have been a seriously committed relationship, which had lasted for years. His wife pleased ignorance when informed of his infidelity and appeared to be deeply upset at the news. When told her husband and his lover had a child together, the wife told Miller and his colleague to leave. The only suspect in the original investigation twelve years previously had been the postman, his alibi had checked out at the time.TheAs the team dig deeoer, they realise there are discrepancies between the first three murders and the fourth. Number four is a cooycat.Add to this that the odd man out had worked side by side with the man currently favourite to be the next mayor. They are under strict orders to leave this politician alone, his being friends with the deputy commissioner of policemen. So with their hands tied ,they try to move their cases forward and there is a very rocky road ahead.Well worked novel, hope there will be more in this series.

A Very Good read
I enjoyed this book, which was exciting and full of suspense. It was a well written mystery that led the reader on a journey to get justice for the four victims of a ritualistic serial killer. The characters were diverse and believable. Red Herrings were skilfully inserted with intriguing twists.

PLEASE~~MORE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES!!
I have read all four Detective Rob Miller books now and am hungry for more! The plots are imaginative and gripping. The characters are so well drawn that you feel you know them personally. The author writes with skill and a genuine feel for her characters. The Box Hill Killer is the fourth in the series and each is fantastic. Each of the books presents the reader with riddles to solve, characters to love and understand, and a plot that makes you want to read faster. Now that I have finished all four in the series, I will read them all again whilst waiting for Detective Rob Miller to arrive again in the volumes that hopefully will follow.

another great read
Another great read and good to see the book follows books 1 & 2.Enjoyed the storyline but I felt the story ended with some loose ends not finished like who Rob thought / was adamant was the killer (Ashraf) but I felt this wasn't followed up and just felt left. Also I noticed in book 2 and this book that Rob is adamant the killer is one person then does a full u-turn when it turns out to be someone else and that the original person is forgotten with them. All in all though a really good enjoyable read with likeable characters and a good storyline.Looking forward to the next book which I'm hoping there is one and it will be out soon.

Amazing Thriller
Another great read. I didn't want to put this book down. Once again the author has managed to bring all her characters to life. After twelve years Rob has been giving the go ahead to reopen a cold case brought about by another murder with similar circumstances. Noah Palmer had been brutally murdered and his body laid out on Box Hill. Like the three previous victims, a pentagram had been etched into his body, four lighted candles at his sides, and white paint circled his body. The story gets more interesting when Rob and his team tend to believe that Noah's murder had nothing to do with the other three victims. As usual, things became more complicated until the forensics discover D/A on the body which leads to a young girl, named Rachel, whom they already had in custody.A maze of twists and turns occur until finally, Rob, with help from his partner Joe and others, gradually see the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. But will he be in time to save Rachel?A must read. Hope i haven't put too many spoilers.5 * from this happy reader. Now on to the next in this series.

Thoroughly enjoyable read
I discovered Biba Pearce's DCI Rob Miller through Voracious Readers and am very glad I did. He's an uncomplicated, likeable character who thinks outside the box to solve crimes and along with his loyal team specialises in serial killers. The Box Hill Killer just kept on throwing up more and more complicated scenarios before it ended up with a very surprising twist, but Biba very cleverly allowed Rob to lead the reader through all the twists and turns with his particular way of thinking through processes, all the while developing his private life to make this likable character even more endearing. I'm very much looking forward to reading the next book.
