Kinfolk Textile Blackout Thermal Eyelet Ring Top Insulated Pair of Curtains Including 2 Tiebacks (Red, 46" x 54")

I was pleasantly surprised by these. Good quality, well made, gentle colour. I wanted lighter curtains for spring summer, but still capable of warmth. These do the trick very well. I have yet to wash the creases out but even with them they are pleasing.

Firstly, this is a positive review so do read to the end. So…bearing in mind that I bought 1 pair of 90x90 for a measly £39.99, my review can’t be less than generous.I will start be saying that these are definitely not black out curtains. If you’re wanting true blackout (90-100%) you’ll be needing to pay much more for a pair, subject to your size requirements.For me, these do the job required hence are ‘fit for purpose’ as they offer a decorative effect more than a practical one and since I also have horizontal slatted blinds fitted. However, together they achieve a decent darkness but still not anywhere near true blackout curtains…but this is ok for my needs.In terms of quality…they’ve arrived in neat and tidy packaging, within 48 hours and are without imperfections that I can see but I haven’t forensically examined. They are soft and a good colour match per the description.They are polyester, quite thin and appear to be single layered. I’m no textile expert but I can’t see how the ‘blackout’ (in bold capitals on the packaging) can be achieved or how the product can be advertised as such…I guess the industry definition for blackout has wide ranging criteria.That said, if you’re not satisfied there is a simple returns process if you buy through Amazon. That’s the benefit of consumer choice and is easy peesy!In a nutshell...If you want pitch black, these ain’t for you (sorry seller)…you’ll be better off shopping in person eg try Dunelm as you can customise and add blackout lining. But that’s not affordable for everyone! So, as an alternative, you could add some blinds…in which case, combined, they are likely to do the job, just about.If you only want partial darkness (some light does emit through the curtain), these might be perfect for you but do temper your expectations and give consideration to the price your paying. Quality costs.In closing, thanks for reading…as I say, this is a positive review based on my needs, my opinion and my experience. They are good looking set of plain curtains at a price that is ok for their quality. GOM

Bedroom curtains, at first I wondered if they were too thin as they are very lightweight, but actually they are very darkening, I like them, colour is good. Good for price. If you want heavyweight winter curtains these aren't for you but I like them

Image colour is true to life so I’m pleased to get a good bold colour as shown. Material is thick but not bulky so a great fit for a small space as we needed it for. Curtains made an immediate and noticeable difference as the room was much warmer just for having thermal curtains up and drawn for the evening. Super value for money and good range of small sizes.

Just right and excellent quality.

Very fast delivery.Well made.Very, very easy to fit.80% effective in darkening a room.Installed in upstairs bedroom and tested for blackout effectiveness and bedroom privacy.Result was that you can still be seen moving around at night if the bedroom light is on, just like being inside a tent.In daytime, one can still outside through them.Same material used for front and back, a thin woven lightweight material.Despite the manufacture's sales advertising, these curtains do not have proper blackout qualities nor are they truly thermal.They are too thin.Hang well.I'm keeping them for now because I have installed heavy weight material curtains in front of these.Good choice of sizes.
