I don't know the answer but will express that I feel like at it's max speed, 8 ice cubes, and filled at instructed with purified water; it was only like warm (on a hot day) and barely reaching me within a foot proximity. I hope my opinion was somewhat helpful despite the inability to answer your actually question.

Q: How do i change the air conditioning functions in the mini portable air conditioner?

This is a piece of junk. Hopefully you didn't waste your money. It is difficult and messy to use. We tried it once and gave up--plus it didn't really cool anything. Now we use a big air moving fan and have much better results.
