I m learned a lot about the NFL
More than a sports book, it is a story of an athlete who is is also quite bright and is able to articulate the social problems within professional football. Before reading this book I thought the black players were overreacting to black lives matter movement, but now so see that there is a real social problem that must be solved for all of us that love watching the NFL.

Inside Eric Dickerson and the NFL
Football portions were interesting. Page after page of Eric Dickerson bragging about his female conquests was a turnoff. This was from a man who loved his mother and birth mother, has two daughters, and has now found the Lord. Would he want his son to read this book, or any young man? The answer is no.

A Great, Egotistical Back
He leans too hard into racism at every turn. I don't doubt it was an issue for him, but he seems to blame anything that was negative in his life on it (not all were because of racism). Willfully avoids blame where he should take his share (constant contract holdouts). The football stories were interesting (humorous Lawrence Taylor story), but I felt there could have been more. I also thought he could've gone deeper into the SMU stuff. His vice was women, and he did own that. I'm sure it's quite the trick to equally balance telling how you were the best there ever was and constantly talking about how humble you are. Also, he did not deserve the Heisman in 82.

Good story about his career but if he left out his every chapter opinion of racism it would be a 5 star book.racism is all over the NFL and his book is 4 enjoyment not changing the NFL culture.nfl isnt listening

Very Good Read for a fan
Good book and Eric Dickerson was very honest and open regarding his life and career in the NFL. I truly enjoyed reading it and finished it in about 3 days. If you're a football fan or fan of Eric Dickerson, you'll love this book.

The best storyteller!
If you’re looking for incredible stories from one of the best NFL players of all times, this is your book. He doesn’t hold back and you’ll be so shocked by some of what you read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
