Meh.
As others have commented, this piece is tiny. Admittedly, it is quite surprising just how small it is when you remove it from its packaging. It was securely packaged in custom styrofoam for a tight and secure fit. Also mentioned by others, is the brightness of the frame. I would call it down right brassy. So much so, I put ebony Rub N Buff on it to tone it down. To each his own, but my wall color is in the gold/manila range, and the brassy gold just doesn't work well with it. New paint job on the walls, so I won't be changing that anytime soon.I clearly saw fingerprints on the glass that were very tiny. I can't imagine an adult could possibly have fingers that small. It took my mind to about a kindergarten age person, as a possibility. Also, the glass is glued very securely into the frame, so don't try and pry it out to clean the glass.Obviously, one will need to trim the photo to fit into the frame. No-brainer, but it might take a couple of tries to get the size just right. Just take your time.Another reviewer mentions the support for a table-top application, extends past the frame. It most definitely does. You won't like how it looks hung. I took a utility knife and carefully cut it off to fit. It is thick, but take your time knowing going in, several cuts will be necessary to get through it, and a fresh, sharp blade is recommended. Don't press too hard to achieve a smooth cut, be patient, and you will get a perfect result. I took a black Sharpie felt pen and covered the raw edge thoroughly. It came out very well, and actually better than I expected.I would have sent the frame back and saved myself the trouble, except I purchased it to hang underneath a large frame (nearly 100 years old of beloved family members) of the same shape. All said and done, it looks okay. I might replace it with a larger frame of the same shape, if I happen to come across one.I gave an extra star in the rating for simply having this frame shape available.
