Yes, the author translated it herself, and that is amazing enough, writing a book in two languages. Not only that, but a book that got so famous and became an icon within the Spanish community, that is only not making a movie of it, but more books deals for the author have been landed.A book like that connects to the readers, especially those of when the book was first posted online nearly a decade ago. As I am way older than the characters, I have lenience when it comes to the characters and nostalgia from those times. Plus, the character development? Nicely done!Raquel is adorable and headstrong, and Ares is your favorite bad boy type. Raquel is also funny, and really sweet. Their relationship is a push-pull type, and that seems to be a favorite trope amongst readers. Ares is hateable and then loveable. (But the most loveable character is still Apollo, Ares' little brother hehe). This books is the daydream of having your long-time crush like you back.The best thing about this book is it is addictive. No matter which way the plot pulls you, you keep reading to find out more.Oh, and did I mention there is no girl hate here? Always a plus. The female relationships in this book are portrayed in a healthy way-- even when two girls like the same dude! Awesome!Very excited to see the movie!!!

Es un regalo para mi hija de 16 años y le ha encantado

Angetan von der Netflix Verfilmung wollte ich das Buch unbedingt lesen. Bisher habe ich es nie geschafft englisch sprachige Bücher komplett durchzulesen, irgendwann was es immer eine Qual.Dieses Buch ist so toll geschrieben, ich konnte es nicht mehr aus der Hand legen. Ich war eher traurig als ich fertig war. Nun hoffe ich auf baldigen Nachschub.

Okay so I didn't even know this book existed until the movie was suggested to me by Netflix and lets just say I was obsessed after watching the movie I thought about it for days and even listen to the sound track on Spotify lol. So I caved ordered the book and as soon as it came I said the heck with my TBR list and read it and it was so good but at the same time had me so frustrated I'm pretty sure my neighbors thing I'm crazy because I kept talking to my book lol. The movie and the book are so so so different at first I was mad about it but then with how thick the book is I can understand they can't fit everything. I do wish they would have kept the Grandpa though I like him. And the Love triangle thing happening I'm not a fan of at all and I'm so happy it's not in the movie cause the amount of time I rolled my eye's over it almost made my eye's get stuck. I really hope if there are books for Apollo and Dani and Artemis and Claudia that the Author doesn't go that direction I beg of you!! Also and this is just me being nit picky but in Greek mythology Artemis is a Goddess so it probably would have made more sense if Artemis was a female character. All in All thought Book was 5 Stars for Me!! Now I'm gonna go re watch the movie:)
