First: I was not expecting this thing to cool off my room or act as an air conditioner. I was hoping I could point this thing at my head at night to help keep me a little bit cooler when trying to sleep. I will say, it does indeed cool the air -- sort of. I did several measurements and tests when my room was at 82.0 degrees. I had the fan filled with ice and ice-water, on high setting, and cool mode turned on. With a thermometer a half inch from the fan, the air temperature was 79.2 degrees (cooler, yes). When 6 inches away, the air temperature was 81.2 degrees. So basically, this doesn't generate a lot of cold air nor does it project cold air out a big distance. And when you think about the basic physics, there's no reason to expect this thing to do much -- after an hour of being plugged in and seeing as how my room was 82 degrees, all the ice had melted at that point. The peak of this product's performance was already passed as the water would only get warmer over time. I like the idea of this product (and many products like it that employ the same engineering premise), they just aren't effective.

I got this to try and cool my room down, my room gets into the 80s at night when the rest of the house is 68. Its very hit or miss on weather it wants to cool anything. But it is perfect for keeping my boyfriend cool while he games. If you or you have someone thats a t a desk most of the time it is very nice

So, the product looks like the picture, but I was expecting more power. Even with the 3 different speeds, still not the power I was expecting. You are better off buying a honeywell desk fan. The lights are cool but that is about it. Not worth $50 at all, the most $25.

It is convenient but it doesn't work like it says. The water in it lasts 30 minutes maybe 45. It doesn't put out cold air it's only slightly cool.

Decent machine once I crushed the ice and was able to get it in the little slot. Not worth the price. The Led lights are awesome. I was going to return it but it works for now.

Unless you're sitting directly in front of this thing, it will not cool you off. It works well as a humidifier and a night light but thats about it.I bought this for a 170 sq ft room and it did nothing. My tower fan cooled me off more than this. When I ordered I was under the impression that it would be bigger, which is my fault for not reading the size description, but WOW this thing is tiny. You could probably fit it on top of a small desk. There are better, cheaper coolers this size, this one is definitely not worth it.

I bought this for my kids ! Inhave one in my room. It doesn't go cold like the ac would but we put ice cold water in thereIt feels cold.. like it sprays out mist that doesn't feel like mist the air blows it out and the wind feels cold.. but most definitely put it close to you because this doesn't cool the whole room. But for its price it does the job in a hot day. Compared to a 400$ portable ac.. this can solve your problem if you dont have money to buy an ac it works

It works on a very basic level as a misting machine but it doesn't really cool the room, it cools a mist up to 3 feet in front of the person. I left it in a room over night and it has to be refilled every 3 to 4 hours so it won't keep you cold by the morning. Also it has a light on the top that never turns off and the ac adapter has a light which is bad if you want a dark room at night. I returned it to Amazon the next day, thankfully returns are very easy.
