The Best Neednose
They're simply the best Needlenose for most tasks, and absolutely for electrical work, that money can buy. I do 14 hour shifts as maintenance for a big resort, I fix everything from heating, to heavy equipment, these bad boys have held up to everything with zero problems. On the level of Knipex and I'd say in this case even better and made in the USA. If you're thinking about buying them, do it. You won't regret it. The needlenose have grooved grip on the tip, a section of flat grip just below that for crimping etc, a nice rounded grip below that for wire nuts etc, and perfect cutters below. They're really well thought out and extremely versatile.

Insulated Long Nose Pliers
I was disappointed that the grips were very small. The Long Nose cross hatched mating surfaces do not touch each other. The side cutter knives look good. Overall I would not recommend these Needle Nose Pliers!

Misaligned Head
This pair have a small misalignment when under pressure - the top side cutter jaw slips onto the lower cutter under pressure. You can also feel the misalignment and hear an audible click when cutting the materials. There is a small amount of slop in the rivet and I would assume this is the culprit for the misalignment.Apart from this defect in action they do cut reasonably well and are also reasonably comfortable to hold. The head width is slightly narrower by around 2mm when compared to other brands such as Klein, Wiha or NWS pliers which was slightly surprising. I wouldn't want them any narrower for gripping and twisting multiple strands of cable. The finger guards on the handle are a little overkill in my opinion - I plan to grind them down by around 3-4 mm to allow them to fit more easily in the tool pouch. They are slightly different in construction when compared to the older blue handled channellock combination pliers - I would say less comfortable to hold, although the handle material is better quality.I'm not a huge fan of the 'high leverage' rivet placement as I use combination pliers for stripping the internal insulation on electrical cabling. Placing the rivet closer to the cutting edge actually makes this more difficult especially when stripping multiple cores of 2.5mm or 1mm at the same time - yes this can be done with combination pliers (Australia + NZ Sparkies know what I'm talking about)Assuming your pair doesn't arrive with the defect I've described they seem to be relatively robust and should work fine for any electrician. I should've perhaps sent these back but couldn't really be bothered - they may end up being a spare pair or I may even have a go at pounding that rivet tighter - hymmmn...
