Great product though have to use the purple tip to get the lancelet deep enough with the butterfly lancelet. My diabetic dog doesn’t mind but yelped with other devices

Had to replace Alptrek one which came with device as too awkward to use on our cat. This is so much easier and painless for her. Brilliant. Expensive though!

We got the devastating news a month ago that our dog was diabetic. After hundreds of pounds at the vets we invested in a home testing blood glucose kit. The lancet that came with it did nothing. The dog got stressed I got stressed. It was a mess. Took it to the vet and the vet couldn’t get it to work. So he advised to just use the lancet on its own. Well that night it was a disaster. The dog bit me, I bled he didn’t. Out of desperation I went on some forums who recommended the Genteel Lancet. The last roll of the device. We shaved his fur near the base of his tail (away from teeth). We tried a few of the different tops but in the end we used the gentle lancet with the purple top. We have a hit rate now of 8/10. Sometimes he moves and breaks the vacuum so we have to try again. But we always get a test result.So if you are stressed by all that is diabetes and home testing is becoming stressful buy this bit of kit as it works. I very rarely write reviews but this deserves its high rating.
