All the other reviews said you had to assemble it but mine came preassembled, you just had to put the metal attachments in. I've also had no problem with wood sticking out and hurting my gerbil. My only comment is that the main picture shows the attachment on the left, but mine is on the right. That means I couldn't position it where I originally planned but it all worked out okay. My gerbils like it, even my disabled gerbil who has no back legs.

Feels cheap and not is smaller than the pictures indicate.Will need some sanding down too so it doesn't disembowl our hamster.Needs two more washers too.. Doesnt come assembled.Definitely over priced for what it is.

It can work well in a cage for rodents but doesn’t fit super well in the cage I have despite it being on the larger side. Even fastening it was a little bit fiddly. The wood gets soiled quite quickly and got a bit smelly. But was used a lot by the mice when it was in the cage.

Not putting this in my fur-baby’s cage… steps not secure and wobbly, pins on show..not happy with purchase

Poor quality with no screws in as advertised

Thought this would be lovely for my birds seeing it was cheap cheap. When it came fell apart nails were sticking out. Was awful. So holding on to c what can be done with it. Cause I ain't hurting my birds with this rubbish.

admittedly didn’t read the reviews before purchasing, but after receiving it I don’t mind that it’s not assembled, and it doesn’t take a genius to put it together. The screws aren’t too short, you just have to screw them in on both sides.

Not very good a bit big and terrified my hamster when I tried it in her cage the bolts were too loose
