Blundstone Unisex's Classic 550 Series Chelsea Boot

Dog walking... amirite? Mud, puddles, trees, sticks, beach, sea, etc...I bought a set of Chelsea boots from "a well known high street retailer" and they came apart after 4 weeks, so time to buy some decent boots.I did my research and looked at the well known manufacturers but they were all pretty expensive then I came across these Blundstones, which I'd never heard of. A bit more research showed that this is an Australian manufacturer going back 100 years and they are designed for hard wearing.Crucially, they were half the price of the rivals I'd been looking at (but still not what you'd consider "cheap").They arrived in a sturdy set of packaging and initial impressions were very good - bonded sole to the leather uppers (which is where the cheaper predecessor failed). It also came with a booklet giving a potted history of the company, which helps get you bought in to the ideal.Another nice touch is that they came with some additional insoles and another booklet that says "some boots can feel a little big so, if these do, just fit the insoles".I though that was a generous inclusion and I have taken advantage of it.On the topic of size, some reviews suggest that the boots can be a little "generous" for the stated size, and I'd agree. I'm normally a UK 11.5 but could only get size 11, for which I still needed to use the insoles. So I'd recommend getting a size 0.5 to 1.0 less than you normally would. Amazon offered a "try and return" service which helps the confidence.They are comfortable (although like all thick leather products they need a wearing in period) and, after four weeks of everything the dog can throw at them (literally!) they seem to be bearing up!Recommended.

This is my 2nd pair, both bought through Amazon for a great price.I wear them all the time, dog walking, for work, every day. I do a fair bit of walking across fields, public footpaths etc. so they aren't 100% desk bound by any means. I'm seeing 4 years + out of my first pair and that's very good indeed, nearly double compared to Merrel or Karimor which I'm also a fan of. Good boots, very practical easy on & off with the double pull tags . I really rate them, apparently there are other Australian boots of a similar design that are allegedly even better made, maybe in another 4 years I'll try those too, in the meantime colour me impressed with Blundstone so why change?

I am usually a 9 1/2 fit. Bought 9 1/2 and they fit like a glove. Boots you can wear all day. Already planning to buy a second pair.

Heed the advice on other reviews and go for a size smaller - I'm a UK size 9 usually and went for the size 8 in these, perfect fit using the included optional insoles. Would buy again. I would give 5 stars if I'd had them longer and could comment on general wear and tear, I've had them 6 weeks and very happy so far.

I absolutely love these boots, they're my second pair. Great fit (size 5/38 fit perfectly; I have narrow feet & usually take a size 5.5-6 in trainers; I really like the colour (antique brown); I walk everywhere in them; they're so comfortable; no breaking-in necessary; "well worth the money" & arrived 2 days before expected.

Bought these boots for everyday dog walking. First thing in the morning when the dew is on the ground they are perfect waterproof boots. Remember you do need a decent sock for the comfort factor. I found they were comfortable from the off.Quality leather, good looking, comfortable. Great purchase.

I own too many pairs of boots, but “needed” a casual rugged Chelsea style boot. I ordered blundstone in rustic brown After watching a few videos and being impressed that they were a quality item. Normally between a 9 and 10 So ordered a 9.5 and a 10, the 9.5 were perfect. Had some issues with blistering on the heel, but just to be expected. Absolutely brilliant boots, incredibly comfy and look great, very impressed.

When I was looking at these boots I looked at the photos and saw a pair of brown leather suede boots - however, these are not brown leather suede, these are shiny brown leather and honestly are very different to what they look like in the photos. If you look at the photo with both boots side-by-side you can tell in the photo they are not shiny brown leather. I wasted two weeks waiting for these to be disappointed. + they seem to have marks on the front and back of them.

I’ve had many pairs of Blunnies—they are infinitely comfortable (my feet don’t mind heavy boots and they don’t sweat, so maybe I’m just lucky?). They are effectively water proof (if you’re not in a river) and the leather doesn’t look worn after years of wear (I do not use these as heavy-work boots). The sole stays cushiony, but wears down after 3 years of near-daily use. This particular color-red-is pretty unique also! They come in wide sizes, which I need, so…winning!

expensive but quality costs

This are my second pair of Blundstone. Excellent quality and perfect sizing I wear 8.5-9 and 9 was great and comfy. Shoes came/arrived in a regular Amazon white shipping bag without box, however everything was in the bag, extra insoles and all papers that came in a regular box and boots without any damage or scratches. For $139.95 of $219.95(original price)…Amazon you can keep the box!

These boots are awesome!! I’ve tried other styles and they’re just too tight and narrow. The men’s are perfect if you want a little wiggle room. So much easier to slip on. The color is great too. I normally wear a solid 8. I ordered the 8 women /6 men. Fits perfect. I’m so excited!
