Great drill, but the E Clutch doesnt work.
This drill is small, compact and has loads of torque, very nice to use and light as well..... However, the electronic clutch does not really work at all. I have an older Makita with the mechanical clutch and even on the highest speed setting, when the screw or bolt went tight the clutch would kick in and stop trying to turn the screw. This drill however once it builds up speed (really quickly too) screws a screw or bolt in really fast and when it goes tight, the bolt stops and the drill kicks savagely the other direction. Even on clutch setting one it kicks as it seems the E Clutch doesn't have time to disengage the power to the motor. And Yes, I did turn the drill down to slow speed and it still does the same. The only way I have found to get the clutch to work is to screw the screw in most of the way and then tap the trigger until the screw tightens. the clutch will then work correctly.Like I said, impressive drill mostly, but the E Clutch really lets it down, if you want stripped out Phillips screw-heads and twisted torx bits, please buy this drill.

Fantastic drill
Bought this after my previous Milwaukee drill took a 45 mph spill and did not survive. I was very pleased with that drill, this one is even better. I also have one of their impact drivers from a few years ago, I really want to upgrade that one as well, but as hard as I work the thing it just wont die. I am very please with all of my M12 tools and continue to buy them as needed without hesitation.
