Well made and great value

I need a heat/flame resistant apron for studio work using hot materials in a kiln and with a torch, not for heavy duty welding or anything like that. Didn't want to spend a ton of money. The reviews on this were spot on. The apron itself, the leather, is fine. Decent thickness for the protection that I need, but light and soft enough to be comfortable. It's surprisingly well made. But I was prepared for the cheap grosgrain straps, so I had picked up a roll of woven cotton strapping for under $2 (on sale) at a craft store, and replaced the neck strap using D-rings I already had just for convenience, and the waist ties with longer ones. Took me about half an hour. Now I have a really nice leather apron with sturdy AND comfortable fully adjustable neck strap, and waist ties that are long enough to wrap around and tie in front! (BTW for you doubters, I have a cheap sewing machine and used a regular needle, nothing special needed to do this!)

Works great for my hobby shop, sure saves on clothing and burn salve. Nice and light, not cumbersome like some I have used.

Strap broke but everything else was really good.

Bought this to weld and I can say its saved my clothes from holes, Just enough to cover me. I am 6'5". Just what i wanted.
