Get away from these people !
We never get on a 100% with anybody in life but this is different from these vile ,toxic people we all come across in life ,nothing is ever right ,never got a good word to say about anyone, use and abuse you , always taking offence when none was intended, this book tells you why there like it ,how to spot them ,and deal with them.the thing I've learned is you try and compromise with them, and then it's something else not right! You can't change or reason with these types of people. Having said that when it's a marriage or family etc it's obvious far harder to remove these people from .your life .keep away !

This book has changed my life. I was stuck in a rut of overwhelming abuse that started from early childhood and continued into my relationships. I have given this book a 5 star rating as halfway through it I started to turn my life around. It's given me the knowledge I needed to recognise myself and others and the dynamics therein. I would recommend this book to anyone that feels overwhelmed or powerless. It has certainly made me 100% stronger and within 2 days I managed to turn my situation/s aroundv360°s. Very easy to understand and empowering. A real life changer for me. Thank you Tim Cantopher.

Brilliant!
I first heard Tim Cantopher being interviewed on radio about this book and was facsinated by his insight. He seemed to be discussing several people I know and have known during my life. The toxic effects of these individuals would not have been revealed to me had I not taken a step back and reviewed my involvement with them. Quite unwittingly I have self-healed but it's been a long and painful process. Had I had the guidance this book provides I would have been much better equipped and able to shorten the transformation. I recommend this to anyone who feels under pressure to keep others happy! Please read this life-saving material and enhance your mental health 😁

A therapist's perspective.
I am a psychotherapist, and I often recommend this book to clients who are in toxic relationships, either personal or professional. It's ideal for the layperson, and it helps as a powerful aide-memoire for the client when they've finished their therapy, for it's all too easy to forget what we've learned and to slip back into old, destructive patterns of behaviour.

Deal With Gameplayers.
The first part of the book looks at how people tick. Though not a revelation, I did find it a good reminder of how people's upbringing influences their behaviour.Part 2 focuses on people, places, families and situations that are toxic. I am interested in at least identifying if my workplace is a toxic environment.Part 3 gives some principles for coping with toxicity, from the general, to the specific. An interesting question is, 'What if I'm toxic?'I look forward to putting into practice what I've learned.

Personable and Practical
This is a downright adorable little book. It goes in circles, it is a bit casual and winding in its delivery - but there is a good solid base to the advice provided. Clearly the author is well-qualified and experienced. I don’t agree with some of the more dated perspectives, but there’s nothing mean or uncommonly ignorant there. Mostly this book feels like a nice sit-down with a doting if patronizing uncle, full of real-world advice and wisdom. I found it really useful and a fun read!

Intelligent and insightful
Although the matter this book is dealing with is not exactly a pleasant one, it is a delight to read this book and to ponder on its message. Its language is easy to understand (even for me as a non-native speaker), but it is not just another superficial self-help book. Highly recommended.
