S/S DIAL Fridge Freezer Therm 402

I don't know about testing these against a clinical thermometer as another reviewer has said as I'd have thought that wouldn't go anywhere near below freezing. But I've bought a couple in the past & three on here recently as I began to suspect the one I had (an old Betterware fridge/freezer one) was way off. Well I tested the three Brannan' plus the one I thought was out, along with a freezer thermometer (Bosch) & a fridge/freezer thermometer (make unknown) first in the fridge, then in the freezer with an outside mercury thermometer as a control.The Betterware one was +5 out, surprisingly the Bosch -8 out, the unknown one, three Brannan' & outside mercury control one all read spot on with each other within 1/2 degree on one, which is neither here or there let's face it, so I would conclude their calibrated accurately, certainly good enough for purpose anyway.

Thermometer looks like it should be telling the truth but disagrees with a digital thing next to it by about 2C. Credibly unaesthetic.Because Brannan (the maker) is a European thermometer specialist, I'd like to think the (Chinese-made) digital thing, which doubles as an in-fridge ioniser, is wrong.

Waste of money, bought 2 thermometers after reading many were not accurate, this 1 reads 3-4* too high.... I know as we checked against a 100% accurate clinical grade thermometer which is no good for leaving in a fridge as too fragile. At least I know it is reading too high.

Easy to see.Helps keep temperature correct.

I wanted a thermometer to check the temperature of my fridge to ensure it was cold enough.This item is perfect for the job.
