This is marketed as a truck bed extender but it is just as useful as a little trunk area in the bed of my truck. Without this installed I'd always have to be thinking of how to keep things from sliding to the front of the truck bed. With this truck bed extender in the flipped back position it creates an area at the back of my truck bed where I can keep things I want to access easily from the tailgate.No more problems with things sliding to the front of my truck bed. If I want to take a trip to the dump or load my kayak in the truck bed, I can just flip the extender out and everything is nicely contained. This makes my truck a lot more useful in ways I never thought of before.The extender itself seems well made and durable. For installation you only need to put 4 holes in the truck bed which isn't difficult. Overall I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to make their truck bed a lot more useful.

Screws to fasten brackets to bed are junk. Used rivnuts and bolts to secure hinge pieces and works great.

I won a 2018 Chevy Silverado. This item came exactly as described and fits perfect. It was easy to install and remove when not needed.

It fit nicely on my GMC Canyon 21 but the only thing that I didn’t like is that you have to take your time on making the measurements before your drill the holes on your truck bed bcuz the guide template it come with is not accurate also it seems like the blk paint is power coated which any lil scratch or dent on it you can notice it right away.

This works well in my 2012 Colorado. Easy to assemble and place in rig. I am very happy with the added space. Looks good with my black truck. I really recommend if you are wanting to extend bed space.

The instructions are easy to follow and it came well packaged so everything looks fresh out of the box. It went together pretty easily, BUT you’ll need a 23/64 drill bit for the mounting brackets. Who has a 23/64 drill bit?! I mean I do now. It just could’ve been like 3/8 which everyone has. Also, I have a spray on bed liner and the rivets were tough to get properly in place. In fact, I imagine they’ll probably need to be replaced before too long. It’s still a nice and complete set and without that bed liner would be snug as a bug..

Putting the product together isn't bad at all. If you don't feel comfortable drilling four holes into your bed, then I'd reccomend professional installation. You'll need to drill four holes and install rivetnuts. It comes with a little tool to compress the rivetnut, but I have the rivetnut tool from many modifications to my Jeep. I would suggest that after you drill the holes, brush some primer paint onto the bare metal and also add a small amount of clear silicone to the rivetnut before putting it into the hole. If you don't do this, rain water will get behind the bracket and cause your bed to rust. Take the extra precautions and avoid the rust, you'll think yourself later. You can have this opened on the tailgate, folded in the bed, or removed completely if you need the extra room. It does not interfere with the bedcover on the truck. It can keep items from sliding towards the rear of the bed and out of reach.

This is a great addition to my Chevy Silverado. I’ve always wanted one of these extenders and this one is a great choice. Easy to install and it’s made well with a nice finish. It’s nice now hauling stuff that’s too long for my tailgate to close. It’s also nice it fits under my bed cover with ease. I like it no complaints.
